I bought these for scooping leaves into leaf bags. The ergonomics fails for me. You have to squeeze your hands into the scoop’s back. I have normal size male hand and it was a bit tight, when having working gloves on. That matters even more when you need to disengage those quickly off of your hand. That I needed to do on a windy day regularly when the leaf bag’s mouth went shut by the wind or got an annoying stick preventing leaves going in the bag - right at the moment when I was trying to put leaves in with scoops. I couldn’t take the scoops off of my hands fast enough to save the situation.Also the scoop is more a scoop than extensions of your hands like claws. Well, that’s what it says on the package. But the leaves don’t fall off the scoops easily when the scoops are inside the bag. You have to twist your hands to drop the leaves. Clumsy when inside the bad.Before these I had bought leaf claws from a local Ace hardware store. They worked in my need, and actually did all those above things fine. However they were flimsy and broke in 5 minutes.These scoops here are robust. Functionality didn’t work for me. I am though not saying that this is a bad product. I am sure they are great for someone for different purpose, or even with small hands.

My trees finally have gotten big enough that I can't ignore or mulch over the leaves so I searched for "the ultimate rake". I found these in that search and decided to give them a shot. Other than having to bend over further than you would with a rake, these are awesome! I used a cheap plastic fanned rake I got from Menards one time to gather the leaves up and these scoops to grab HUGE piles and dump them into the bag. You could just use these, but they are much better as a supplement to a rake to transfer from piles into the bag. These are a game changer and I love the things all most as much as I hate raking leaves.

It's amazing how much leaves & sticks you can pick up at one time. I have an area in my backyard that is wooded and has lots of rocks so you can't use a leaf vacuum very easily (it clogs up too quickly because of so many non-leaf items, like sticks and pine cones.) The area I am clearing has a very thick cover of leaves which are damp and clumped together, so raking a little to loosen and then pick up the piles is very easy. I highly recommend these. Very easy to slip on/off over garden gloves and appear to be very sturdy, although I've only used them 3 times, so I can't say how long they'll last.

So far I have just "tried on" the scoops to make sure that they would fit my hands - they fit fine. The day after I received the scoops we had an inch and a half of snow on the ground - it has now melted down to an inch or less. I picked up most of my leaves using trash can lids, which prompted me to by the scoops, as they should be easier to manipulate. Hopefully when the snow goes away, and my neighbor's tree sheds its leaves, I will be ready to go into action.

I have been using 2 broken rakes to pick up leaves and other things.But it was difficult; but worked.These new ones have been better and make my work go faster.Just wished they were larger.Not sure how long they will last,being plastic etc.But I would suggest anyone could use these with confidence that they will work at making leaf pick up faster and easier too.

These are replacement leaf scoops for the identical set that I have had for 10+ years. They greatly speed up the leaf pick-up process by enabling much bigger "grabs" and better security in transferring leaves from pile to bag. More solid ridged design, rather than individual teeth is more durable and better facilitates pick-up on hardscape surfaces as well as landscapes.

If you are looking to cut your leaf cleanup time in half, this is the product for you. As you are aware, gathering leafs and especially disposing of them in bags is very time consuming. These hand scoops grab an unbelievable amount of debris that you can then place in a disposable bag. They are a well constructed, heavy duty plastic. Easily cut my time in half with the amount of material I am able to pick up. I highly recommend this product.

We have used them only once so far and they worked well. They seem to be sturdy - at least, so far so good. They are pretty big. You probably want a bag with a large opening to use them with because they are so wide. I am pleased with this purchase.
