Super cute book!
I love all the books in this series and so does my son. They're very easy to follow and simple enough for my son to memorize.

This book is really something
Little frog is bored and feels there’s nothing to do. Dad frog suggests going swimming, playing with his toys or maybe cleaning up his room. Uninspired by that, little frog consults his old friends Rabbit, Cat, Owl, and Pig in a search for ideas. The exchanges that follow will greatly amuse young readers, including Rabbit’s idea of hopping around in circles and staring off into space, Cat’s suggestion that he should “lick between your toes for a while” (“Ewwww” says little frog, and the readers will agree), and Owl’s offering of “sleep until it’s dark…wake up…that’s it.” For his part, eager to help, Pig unfurls his “fantastic list of things to do,” which is hilarious but doesn’t float little frog’s boat. At this point a frog guru intervenes and guides little frog through a “be here now” meditation that sparks an epiphany beautifully visualized by Mike Boldt’s art. Read the book to learn what it is, but it is really something. As in all the Petty-Boldt frog books, peel off the outer layer of verbal and visual hilarity and you’ll discover deeper themes and ideas. Such as: Be curious about what others do and why, but know yourself first and respect your own thoughts. If you don’t think for yourself, others will be only too happy to do that for you and give you their own “to-do” list or marching orders to follow. In an era of too much doing and not enough thinking, of resurgent tribalism and anti-intellectualism, that is a delightfully subversive notion for our little frogs out there to ponder and also quintessentially American. Five stars.

Funny, timely, and a great read for children & adults alike
We love Petty's Frog books because they are highly entertaining for both children and the adults who may be reading to them. There's Nothing To Do is another gem in the series. It has the priceless dialogue between Frog and his dad. And manages to have a timely message about finding creative space in our overstimulated lives. Illustrations are beautiful and will have you giggling as well. It continues the fun from I Don't Want to Be a Frog & I Don't Want to Be Big. Great Read!

Requested At Bedtime
My three year old granddaughter runs around quoting this book all the time. And when she starts complaining about having nothing to do, somebody inevitably asks her, "Are you a frog?"

Entertaining for kids
I think this book is ok, but I don't want to be a frog is undoubtedly the best one. My kids loved the pictures and the quirky characters.

キャラクターがかわいい
わかりやすい文章で、オチもあって面白いです。4歳の娘はオチまでは理解できていないですがカエルのキャラクターが気に入っているようです。
