Just received.
G17 Gen 3 slid in like butter. You definitely need a good sturdy belt for this thing or you won’t be able to draw. Make sure the holster has plenty of weight when secured or it won’t come out. So far so good, threw it on my duty belt and worked fine. As for open carry, again, make sure there’s ample amount of resistance or she won’t draw.

My wife loves this Level 2 Thumb release drop leg holster
First, a rant... it aggravates me to no end and is grossly deceiving how Amazon groups together reviews for similar but significantly different products. A Level 2 Thumb release drop leg holster is *significantly* different from a paddle holster with no thumb release...and some of the reviews you read could be for different versions of this holster...but you don't necessarily know that reading the review.... Grrrr.OK, on to the review. We live on mountain acreage. There are lots of critters here that could potentially ruin one's day like bears, wolves, moose, bobcats, or bad hombres. We carry pretty much all the time when we leave the house...especially my wife...and regular holsters either get in the way or are difficult to access in the winter, for example, so my wife decided she wanted to try a drop leg holster and I bought her this one for Christmas. This particular holster has held up very well through one winter (sub zero at times) and into the summer (already 90 degrees out today). My wife wears it daily, hiking, gardening, doing chores outside and for pretty much everything. She wanted a thumb lock both for security (bad hombre scenario) and also so the gun doesn't fall out when she's doing whatever. She loves this holster because of the thumb release, the light weight, the fact that it keeps her Gen 5 Glock 17 secure and for the durability. The price was great, too.Things she loves:-fits great - she is small (5'2" size zero) and has tried different types of holsters but they either don't fit, are uncomfortable or sometimes even dig into her skin-very adjustable and easily adjustable for different clothing-keeps her gun in place and it doesn't flop around or tip back and forth so she can grab it from muscle memory with no surprises-keeps her gun from falling out no matter what she's doing - and she does a *lot* of physical work-she can draw faster from this holster than her hip holsters (paddle OWB and IWB).-it is light and she says when she is wearing it, she doesn't even know it's thereAll in all, a great purchase.

Great for Glock 17 Gen 4
I've used this as a duty holster on and off for the past few years. It's sturdy and holds my weapon securely. The thumb trigger is great for quick draw. I have not had any issues with it.

Okay
When I got the holster it look okay, it a level one holster. There was still a press button, but since I bought a left handed holster the button is back wards. That's not a big deal. The tension screw was stripped so I had to replace it. That took a while to screw off and replace. also the adjustment screws were on there tight.

Good build (does not fit P10C)
I bought this holster because Orpaz does not make a left handed P10C holster as far as I know. This holster does not fit the P10C. The P10C's rail area is taller (bottom of rail to top of slide) and this prevents the pistol from fitting the holster. If I remove the slide, the frame fits just fine by its self. and if I just try to put the slide into the upper part of the holster, it also fits just fine, so it is not a width issue, it is a total height issue.I really just with Orpaz made a left hand P10C holster...Using a heat gun and a rasp I was able to get the holster to work for the P10C, but not incredibly well. I figured for just $20 I mine as well mess with it. Companies need to stop ignoring left hand shooters.

Great value!
This holster is a great value and is everything I expected. I'm impressed with the high quality of material and workmanship and the effective design, especially for the price. One very minor negative is: I have a personal bias against using security head screws (adjustments) when a simple phillips head would suffice. That's only because the more common phillips head screwdriver is usually more accessible when away from the house, shop,or office. That's only a minor inconvenience though and, once the correct driver bit has been obtained, all the tension and position adjustments are straightforward and easily made.I really like this holster and will be returning to Orpaz for other gear. -Stay frosty! -

Perfect for my Glock 45
I have a Glock Model 45. This Orpaz holster fits it rather nicely. I am able to run without worry that the gun is going to become unsecured. The thumb release works perfectly to secure the weapon.
