Delicious Taste of Honey Follows Up with Heat of Chilis. Exotic; Delicious; Great Marinade.
What am I reviewing?I am reviewing Nature Nate’s Honey Co.’s Hot Honey Minis. The brand.I am familiar with this brand [Nature Nate’s Honey Co.] and respect it.Exited to select?Yes, I was excited to select and try this; a primary reason is that these were within individual packets, which was what I wanted, to have some in the home and our picnic basket.Warning.I found there is an initial taste of honey trailed with an aftertaste of chilis, but I did not find it overbearing, nor objectionable, and easy to wash away. I liked the slight kick of heat actually. How did these arrive?Within a sealed – by moon tape, retail like, kind of flimsy red , white, and black cardstock package. [I do prefer when my selections are at least sealed and/or shrink-wrapped, as I think the product was not tampered with, from factory to me.Size of the package?4” wide x 4.625” tall x 2.25” deep.Weight of the packageOverall weight was about (338) grams, which is about (12) ounces.Packets.Inside the package were (20) packets of honey, like ketchup, mustard and mayo packets, with a tear to open feature and squeeze to obtain contents.Weight of each packet?About (15+/-) grams, which is less than ( ½ ) of an ounce.Size of packets? The size of each retail packet is small, they each measured about 4½” tall x 2¼” wide x 0.0625” thick.FreshnessBy texture and taste, these gave me the impression of being fresh.Okay, but when was the honey harvested?Unknown, there was no reference on anything.Where was the honey harvested?Unknown, there was no reference on anything. What flowers might the bees gathered from?Unknown, there was no reference on anything. Was the honey heated?Yes, per the package, not the packets, the honey was “gently warmed for pourability.”What grade of honey was used?Unknown, there was no reference on anything. What ingredients are in this?Honey (of course) vinegar and habanero chili pepper flakes.Organic certificationThere was no reference to any of the various ingredients being USDA organic, which is a negative, I would appreciate organic for purity and environmental consciousness.Where are the vinegar and chili from?Unknown, there was no reference on anything.Date the packets were manufactured?Unknown, there was no reference on anything, there was a number code on the packet, however, I am not sure what that represents.Value?I think I received fair, but not exceptional value. When received?March 2025Sell by date?July 27, 2026.Wish list?A hardshell branded carrying case.Is this perfect? No.Why not?Although the taste is enjoyable, and it seemed fresh, not crystalized, there are too many mysteries about this honey that could have been answered. Therefore, this is not perfect, no country of origin, no date harvested, from where, and so forth. So, what’s the bottom-line rating?I hope my thoughts added a bit more information.

Really great tasting honey with a decent but not too powerful kick!
The Good:* Delicious. I could stop here and it would still be a 5-star review* 1/2 ounce packets that completely empty so you get the full 1/2 ounce* Very easy to open. Tears easily across the top of the "bottle" portion of the packet, right where the "lid" would be* Very reasonable price ($9.99 for 20 .5oz packets or $0.51 per packet)The Meh:* Nothing at allThe Bad:* Absolutely nothingThe Verdict:For portable individual servings, these are HIGHLY recommended. The flavor is great, the heat is nice but not too bad, and I honestly love the little bottle shaped packets. Yes, it's a gimmick, but they won me over.***Full disclosure - I used this to make a Hot Honey Old Fashioned, and it was AWESOME! If you do that though, I strongly suggest you make a "syrup" with at least 1:1 honey to HOT water. At that point I'd use 2 packets and an equal amount of water to fully dissolve the honey, then use half of it in the cocktail and cut back on the ice.

Packets are very convenient
These honey packets are very convenient. I love to drizzle some over my chicken and this gives me a measured amount so it's easy to track in my food log. There are 12 grams of sugar per packet and I divide them in half when topping my chicken. A much better choice for me than most bottled sauces or additives. There isn't as much heat as with some hot honey brands that i have tried but still a mild kick to it.

great taste
the quality of this honey is great. the packets are fairly easy to open. i'd rather have a bottle, but these are great for on the go. these work great on all kinds of things. i recently used this with my chicken tenders and they were amazing. the pricing is pretty decent, so i'd say overall its a pretty good value.

Delicious
You can totally buy a big bottle of this stuff but this is great if you're obsessed with hot honey and want to keep some on you for road trips. It's enough to put on a chicken biscuit or some waffles or whatever else you want to put it on. The honey itself is great and gives a nice blend of spicy and sweet.
