The concept was good, but the brace needs work to support like ...
It was not as supporting as I wanted it to be. I took it to an orthopedic brace office where we added additional supports, padding for comfort, and lengthened the strap that goes across the chest. It will not fit around someone who has a large chest area. The concept was good, but the brace needs work to support like it needs to. Coming from a Physical Therapist that got this for a stroke patient with severe subluxation and no movement of the upper extremity.

I recommend wearing a compression arm sleeve underneath it
This shoulder brace helped my pain in a shoulder with a past rotator cuff injury that now suffers frequent subluxations. I have a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. The brace helps hold my shoulder in place and reduces pain when I am performing repetitive motions with this arm. It can be a little bit scratchy to the skin if worn alone; I recommend wearing a compression arm sleeve underneath it. It is adjustable for the wearer's specific needs. I need to keep my left arm always a little bent at the elbow to avoid nerve compression in this arm. I was able to adjust the brace to achieve this position in order to have support and prevent me from fully extending the arm out straight. I received this item very promptly and in excellent condition. I recommend this seller!

Strap bisects female breast UNCOMFORTABLY.
I had a massive stroke and my shoulder subluxes( falls forward , out of socket), which is painful and useless. This brace offered plenty of support and alleviated the pain, but the band holding it in place comes out from under the right arm and is very tight and seriously uncomfortable across my right breast, making it intolerable and not useful to me. Im not extremely large busted, but I am amply endowed and the strap cuts into the breast and their is no way to adjust the length of the strap, which might make the brace more tolerable for me.I am keeping it and will experiment with modifying the strap.

Seemed small, but that was mostly in our heads
Instructions weren't super helpful, but if you look at the picture, there are only so many ways you can accomplish replicating the setup. We managed it pretty quickly. Only improvement therapist had when he saw it was to tell us to tighten the straps. Point is to pull the arm up into the shoulder: Don't be shy. It does seem a tad on the small size (using it in on 6', 170# man), but it did fit. There is plenty of strap length in all straps, mostly the size confusion seemed to be because we weren't comfortable making it short, which is the whole point of it. Upper arm piece is a bit awkward, because the velcro is on the inside of the arm.
