I wanted to give this mug a fair shot before writing a review—several uses in, and I can confidently say it’s a winner. This temperature control mug does exactly what it claims to do: it keeps coffee hot (not just warm) from the first sip to nearly the last.The mug is easy to use, with one intuitive button and a clear indicator light showing three heat settings: warm, hot, and “piping.” I prefer my coffee piping, and the high setting keeps it at just the right temperature for me. Battery life has been solid—up to 2.5 hours as advertised—and the five blue indicator lights make it easy to track remaining charge. Of course, using the higher heat setting drains the battery a bit faster, but that’s expected.One standout feature is the included charging base. When I’m at my desk, I keep the mug on the base while sipping, which helps preserve battery life. The base has two raised contact points that align with the inset conductor rings on the mug's bottom, so there’s nothing to plug in—just set it down and go. Simple and effective.There’s also an auto-off feature that detects when the mug is empty. While I haven’t tested it deliberately, I’ve noticed the last sip is sometimes cooler, which makes me think the mug powers down before it’s completely empty—a smart safety feature, especially if you’re forgetful or distracted (no one wants melted plastic or worse!).The mug holds a standard 8-ounce pour comfortably, even with room for cream—though I drink mine black and untainted. It also does a great job maintaining heat even without the lid, though I imagine it retains heat even better with it on.Bottom line: this mug offers excellent usability and functionality at a significantly lower price point than some of the better-known competitors. If anything changes down the road, I’ll update my review—but as of now, this is a fantastic value and a great buy.

Have wanted the Ember for over a year but kept telling myself that nobody needs a mug that expensive! I am so happy that Ember now has competition and I was able to get the Kepwam mug for a more affordable price on an Amazon Prime Day.I work in a classroom with little people and I may put my mug down for long periods of time. My coffee or tea is cold by the time I get back to it and I have to remake it. School is about to start back up so I took the plunge on this mug.I gave it a test run this morning and wow! The medium temperature setting is unbelievably perfect. It’s just below hot, it’s very warm but drinkable, the perfect temp! It took my a couple hours to finish my coffee and it stayed the same perfect temperature the whole time. The battery did not run out. It functioned perfectly!I got the charcoal color, it’s very nice looking. It’s not heavy or light, it’s a nice weight and the handle feels good. Seems durable.I highly recommend this brand if you are thinking about getting a smart mug. Since I got a cheaper price for Prime Day, I added the 3-year $7 insurance. I read that the Ember can go out after two years and I don’t want to be without this mug now so I think the insurance may be worth it.

A great product 4 stars, I would have given it 5 stars if the instruction had been better. I went to the Video and that helped somewhat but even they did not mentioned some of the great qualities like the cup handle. The handle is designed in such a way that the cup will never slip in your hand when you lift the mug with a full cup of coffee. I don't know why I have never discovered this mug before it is perfect, I used to have the ordinary cup warmers one in each room. Not any more this cup will keep your coffee warm no matter where you go without having to keep putting on a warmer. Great product, but fire your design department.

I've been enjoying my USB charging platform and heating mug for a few weeks and just discovered a surprising feature. It heats COLD beverages! I had been going through the extra step of heatin cold coffee in a separate mug before pouring into the Kepwam mug. But turns out that it will heat it within a few minutes if I use the highest setting. I wouldn't drink it at that setting, but it's sure useful this way. I believe the product information does not claim to have this function, so it took me this long to try.The mug is insulated, so the outside does not get warm. The handle is a good size to grip with all 4 fingers. The mug is easy to wash and doesn't stain. Bottom heavy so not easily tipped over. Bottom has rubberized material making it slip proof.Addendum: I forgot a very important feature about Kepwam system - NO HOT PLATE on your desk! The charging base is always cool. I have destroyed a number of things by forgetting to turn off the old "hot plate" type warmer. Now why would anyone put a library DVD (in its case) on that surface? It was the only open space on my desk and the DVD needed to be in front of me to remind me to return it! I had to quickly locate the same title, used, to replace the one I had melted.

This is a well made self heating mug that will keep your beverage warm for 3-4 hours. Rechargeable on an included base. Great product. Highly recommended and worth the money.

I've really been enjoying this mug. I enjoy hot coffee every morning and this keeps it hot.I did have a problem with the lid and KepWam's customer service fixed the issue very promptly. (FYI: It's a standard size lid so if you have one that fits a Yeti 20oz tumbler, for example, it works here too.)I measured and my 16-ounce mug actually holds 16 ounces, and that's with the lid on. It's simple to use with just one button to turn it on, vary among three heat settings and turn it off. The charging stand takes up very little room, a very important feature on my limited desk space.The mug itself is solid and the color is well done and has lasted perfectly through many washings and some fairly rough handling. I don't know how long the battery lasts because it's goes longer than I have ever needed and if the mug is on its stand, it just stays on.
