Signature Collection- 51 Songs by Rahman, composer of Slumdog Millionaire Set A.R.Rahman/ Oscar winner for Slumdog Millionaire / Indian Music

I bought this collection to listen to it in my car. I was so disappointed since almost all the songs in this album are re-recorded by different artists. It was like music from a school orchestra and sung by some famous and other random people. The Album name says its a signature collection and all stuff but the album is not original and I would recommend Amazon make changes to this description and make it clear this is not Original music from the album.

For most of the songs, T-Series does not have the copy right. These songs have been re-created by a team of musicians, not remotely near the standard of the great Rehman. You might start hating some of your most beloved songs after hearing the crappy versions in here !!

It has 3 CDs with Indian music. Very varied songs, some with traditional sounding Indian sounds, some very modern and non traditional Indian sounds. It has my 2 favorite songs from the Slumdog millionaire movie.

was very exited to order ,but its is not the original ,the singer are different , do not enjoy at all ........:(

I would say it is a very good set for that price but is not must have.

Buyer Beware: Most songs in this compilation are not *original* tracks from AR Rahman's body of work. T-Series recently acquired rights to his music (how? and most importantly why?), and in a bizarre move, used a bunch of no-name singers (excluding maybe Mano,Sujatha & Javed Ali) to cover these songs. The recreated arrangements are less than stellar (like the weird drums in Ramta Jogi), and the singing sometimes just sad (Fanaa).This is definitely not for music-lovers looking for an extra dose of Rahman since checking out his 'Slumdog Millionaire'.Note: As polluted as the songs are, they are in essence, still Rahman creations. Had to give it 2 stars.
