Very beautiful and well crafted sword. This is the second sword I purchased from amazon, it did take awhile to receive in the mail since it shipped from China but arrived well packaged. The sword was well oiled and sharp too. For the price I payed they could of at least gave me a protective cloth case for the sword though.

This is the third sword I have bought from siwode. Was pretty happy with the first one. The second one had an issue (the blade was loose in the scabbard, holding it upside down causes the katana to fall out) but I refrained from leaving a review. But this third sword left me disappointed especially after seeing all the good reviews. The main problem: it's extremely hard to unsheath; as if the sword is stuck in the scabbard. Trying to unsheath it by pulling it out normally doesn't work, I have to literally rock the handle back and forth in order using more force than necessary in order to unsheath it.

Great sword can't beat the price. Would buy again. everything seems right, a little wobble in the saya but not a big deal. My katana from another seller is the same but twice the price. I love it. Maybe I'll buy a different sword from Siwode next time.

I have 4 Japanese style swords. This one is my new favorite. Very nicely crafted, beautiful hamon, and for my older hands perfectly balanced.

Arrived fast, well packaged and exactly what I expected - no surprises.

This katana is well made, attractive, and sharp. Customer service sent it express mail at no extra charge so that it would arrive by Christmas.
