A Good One!
We bought this one to replace a different variety of rain chain that had faded and dripped rust stains onto our pool deck. This one is much better and will not rust. A clean contemporary look and the rain drips right down the chain as it should.

Looks great!
I had to put a clear zip tie To the very top ring for it to have the first drop the fall consistently to the rest, other wise, works and looks great!

We used to have a water curtain right in front of our door - installed these on each side and they look beautiful, work great.

They're well made, but do splash
They rain chain seems well made, it was fast shipping, and easy to install. So far, so good. But I just want people to know the rain chains do splash, and not all the water from the gutter goes down the chain. They're not like a regular downspout where you can direct the water just where you want it. I don't know if the chain type with cups would do better, but this chain design does not direct all the water where you want it. Only some, well less than half the water, goes down the chain.

A beast of a solid copper rain chain!
This review is for the solid copper oval rain chain: excellent quality, very sturdily built and pretty as well. I can't speak to it's rain chainy-ness as I'm using it to hang plants and wind chimes from high branches. You won't be disappointed in the material and workmanship, though!

Perfect rain conductor for my walkway/comtemplative garden.
Received item on time and as specified. I have a newly sided gray cottage and there is a small access to backyard just beyond the end of our driveway. So it is semi private, if you walk down driveway to side door you see the 8 foot alley way. While we were re-siding house we updated our gutter system. After about a year and while we have been redoing the landscaping, we noticed that there is one dormer that technically didn't "deserve" a downspout but probably should have received one. What to do? The rain, when coming from the west, seemed to just run down this one little corner and it created a persistent stream. We could've added another downspout but I had seen these rain chains and was intrigued. We have given this access way a zen type atmosphere by replacing a laughing Buddha garden statue on a rustic hand made stone elevation and adding a temple style wind chime and a small simple bench. The rain chain, being silver, is perfect with our house color and an additional eastern accent in the area. It also works! We hung it and it fell about 18" short of the ground, we bought an inexpensive silver heavy duty chain at our local hardware store, added it to the bottom of this decorative piece and then just puddled the extra 3 feet or so on the mulch. We then added three large flat granite stones in a circular pattern on top of the puddled chain. This anchors the combo so there won't be any swing (although this piece is open and airy it is substantial enough that it probably wouldn't wobble anyway) and it looks wonderful. As this is a shady spot we have planted hostas and added a cement japanese style lantern. I love the look of this chain with my house and Buddha although I expect any of the chains offered on the site would work the same way I am particularly happy with this one because of it's color and size.

Quality exceeded expectations
The media could not be loaded. These rain chains are very well made and the aluminium is light, so that they do not weigh heavily on the rainwater gutters. They are attractive and strong; much much nicer than ugly PVC pipes which need brackets to be screwed to the brickwork of the house (these have damaged & cracked our bricks where they were attached). We have hung the chains from the normal gutter drops as they come with a bracket to hold them. Depending on the amount of rainfall, they work well. In light rain there is some splashing off the chain, but it is more a function of how they attach at the gutter than any fault of the chain. If someone could design a better gutter drop to direct the water flow onto the chain at the top, that would improve the quantity of water that ran down the chain. All in all they look great, work well, will last a long time, and add much to street appeal!!I am very happy with them and their pricing and delivery. Thank you Rain Chains Direct & Amazon.
