Works to specifications
Not what I was looking for. But performed as designed

Great and excellent product
This product is awesome! It works and functions as advertised on this site. The only thing is that this product doesn't exactly come with a user's manual. Brightside is that the product ID info is easy to find, so it makes finding a user's manual for this product online easy. It's in great, brand new condition. It came in as if it just got released off for sale to general public for first time ever. It is great to work with after awhile, especially when using modern day electronic items usually used with tv. The only other caveat is that the right type of TV must be used for this device.

JVC DVD/VCR Combo
This was given as a gift. As I write this, the CD's can be viewed, but it doesn't record. This is still being worked on to see if someone else can help. If this won't record, it will be returned!

I cannot get the DVD to play
The DVD doesn't work. The VHS works, but not the DVD. I bought this device to record movies onto my computer, but the DVD's don't run or open. Seller: Please contact me with instructions on how to operate or I will return the item. Thank you.

I like it but didn't get what I need
It's a great vcr/dvd player. However, I was under the impression that it would be able to allow me to transfer my VHS tapes into DVD disks. Boy was I out of luck. This player will only record to VHS tapes... NOT DVD disks. It allowed me to view my family vhs tapes again, but I will need to resell this on Ebay and take on some losses. Can anyone recommend a vcr/dvd recorded combo that would allow me to record my vhs tapes on DVD disks? (basically, transferring family videos).

So glad I got this
We used to have one of these and then ours went out. I found this through an online search and am so glad I bought this one. So far it's been working really well. They're getting harder and harder to find. We love ours!

Excellent choice for combination
After reading several reviews on this item, I purchased it as a Christmas gift. My brother liked it a lot, so I decided to get one for my wife and me. I'm really glad I did. It's pretty easy to set up and use, and the playback is excellent in both the VCR and DVD modes. The remote also operates my JVC TV. This is a great choice if you're looking for a quality combination player from a trusted name in electronics.

DVD/VHS Player
It looked ok, although it sounded like a loose piece was inside the unit. I haven't tried it yet. Other than that, it was packaged very well.
