Worth every penny!
This expansion was awesome! I did the campaign with a group of 4 people and we had a blast. Some of the rules can be a bit confusing at first but we eventually got the hang of it! Lots of fun surprises, and new elements to each game, which make it interesting and engaging! And make sure not to open all the boxes inside the main box until prompted by the booklet! Good times!

Best Expansion to Any Boardgame EVER!
I play Scythe usually once a week with a group of 4-6 people. This is one of our group's favorite game of all time. I have previously purchased The Wind Gambit expansion and the Invaders From Afar expansion and have now completed it with The Rise of Fenris story mode expansion. This is a HUGE expansion and is the size of the other two expansion boxes combined. It comes with a full 8 game campaign with certain branching naritaves to change the story a bit. It comes with multiple new pieces (wooden and plastic) that are beautifully detailed. The story was engaging and kept us wanting to play more (we would sometimes do 2-3 chapters each time). This is absolutely worth the money if you love Scythe. CAUTION: In order to get the most enjoyment out of this game you NEED to avoid spoilers and play the campaign without peeking in the boxes inside the main box. It will add to your enjoyment and make every new surprise and new piece discovered all the more rewarding. I did receive a new piece slightly bent, but it was not too bad or noticable. Overall, we loved this final expansion and now need to look to invest in the Legendary Box/Broken Token insert to speed up the lengthy set up/clean up phase of Scythe.

The most exciting and rewarding boardgame experience I have ever had
I cannot say enough about this box, what it is, what it does, and all that it adds to the world of Scythe. I would without hesitation throw money at Stonemaier games if they would ever do anything like this again. The Rise of Fenris is just that amazing. We have played it twice now as the 2p campaign, it was never lacking, even with multiple plays now I enjoy the campaign story that is included as your progress. The next time we play it will be the full campaign with 6 players from start to finish. It is very easy to reset the box in the end and have it able and ready to unfold for new players, everything has a place and we've set ours back up the way it came, with the exception of tidying up some components in bags.Without spoiling anything if you even "just like" Scythe, I think Fenris would exceed your expectations and have you pretty eagerly looking forward to playing the next campaign. We play Scythe quite a bit and we've never wanted to play so many games of it back to back or over the course of a few weeks before. The evolving nature of the game lends anticipation and curiosity as to what comes next and just further enhances what is a great game.5 Stars, 10/10, would recommend, must buy! I cannot wait until the next time we open that box.

Best boardgaming experience EVER
This is, by far, the best boardgaming experience I had in my life. After 10 years of serious, playing modern BGames, gaming, I can asses this was an amazing endeavour. You need the base game (Scythe) to play RoF.RoF expansion will improve greatly the base game and the campaign is a blast. It is so good that even without the surprise of discovering the story, the second time playing it was as great as the first.A must buy for fans of the game.

Brilliant! Best game since Advanced Civilization by Avalon HIll
The game is "middle weight" as far as rules complexity. Strategy is deep. High quality board and pieces with tons of aftermarket upgrades available if you wish. Additional supplements also available (but not needed). We loved the game and while I recommend watching a "how to play" video on youtube, the rules were pretty straight forward when once we sat down and got into it. It's become something of a regular game here that we hope to play through "campaign mode" over the next several months.I'm a pretty experienced board-gamer and have a lot of love for the Avalon Hill games. I've never been able to compare any game to the best of AH, however, this game is in that elite category. Well done.

Best Board Game Ever Created
I have played MANY board games over my life and I have even managed a board game/comic book store which had competitive board game events. I know my board games. Scythe (base game) has become my entire friends groups favorite board game of all time unanimously. Watch review online, almost every board game expert says “scythe is in my top five if not number one”.Now as for this expansion. GET IT NOW. Doesn’t just add a few new cards or pierces but changes the entire game into almost coop/competitive story mode (with even some ‘RPG’ like elements, new factions, and tons of other stuff I don’t want to ruin (don’t open the surprise blind boxes until you get to them in the story!)If you like the world of 1920+ (or just the art style) this expansion is the best way to get into the lore and world building of Scythe and 1920+.You will not be disappointed. I usually never write reviews but this purchase deserves it.

Best Scythe expansion
This expansion is my favorite of all three. The campaign was fun and introduced a lot of things to the game. It's kinda hard to talk about it without spoiling the campaign, but if you aren't really interested in the campaign, a lot of the added mechanics can be added to any game of scythe as modular additions.

Beautifully designed and surprisingly generous expansion
This expansion was superb. My husband and I played through the campaign over the course of a week and opened each new component with bated breath. The accompanying storyline was well-written and the changing mechanics were easy to understand while adding flavor to the game. We look forward to trying the co-op version presented, as well, and playing with the additional components (avoiding spoilers) outside of the campaign. Impeccably done.
