Electrically It's A Quality Product
The internal wire terminals, pinch screws and conducting contact wipers are robust and high quality so I would say they are not exaggerating when they say industrial strength. It's extremely easy to wire. It's designed to be an external wall outlet and will work quite well for that purpose but my use is for a receptacle on a 15 foot extension cord for my welder. I chose it because there really isn't a NEMA 6-50R for use on the end of an extension cord generally available which I could find. 2 problems with this application. One is that the plastic cover is quite brittle and probably won't hold up to dropping it on a concrete floor. 2nd is that it's not at all splash resistant so you probably don't want to be using it out in a rainstorm. I wrapped mine in duct tape for a bit of a cushion if dropped. Hopefully, I won't get careless with it.

Excelent product
I ordered and received what I thought I was buying. The quality is very good and works very well. My Miller welder's plug fit perfectly into the receptacle and provides excellent electrical contact. It was easy to connect and install. Identical or similar items are selling for a much higher price from other sources. One welding supplier was advertizing this exact receptacle for five times the price. It pays to shop around!

Quality, safety and ease of installation.
I’ve always found Leviton well made and designed so safety is enforced by design. Installation is easy and with a little common sense it is easy to do it right.

This plug works well and is easy to install with #6 wire
This plug works well and is easy to install with #6 wire. It's hard to find this style in the local "big box store" so I was pleased to find them on Amazon. Just bee careful picking a matching power cord. The one that came up as an "also bought" is the wrong size for this plug in.

Great buy!
I ordered this connector for my shop to get the shop wired for a very near future new multi process welder. The Leviton unit is a quality unit and pretty much mounts on any surface. I mounted it on a support beam outrigger style and fed the cable into the receptacle from the rear, I was using #6 ,3 wire cable and that's about as big as the connectors in the receptacle will accept and still tighten.

Nice outlet for my welder.
I bought this outlet to provide a 240v socket in my shop for a welder. It mounted solidly to my concrete wall, and works great with the welder. Not too much to be said about a power outlet, it works well and feels like decent quality.

Welder extension cord.
I used this to make an extension cord to connect my welder to the 30amp dryer outlet in the house. I used a Coleman Cable 09126 30-Amp 3-Wire Dryer Power Cord and put this on the end. It isn't designed for laying on the floor, but for mounting solid to the wall. I just glued the cover on and filled the end where the cable enters with silicon sealant. It has held up for several weeks of use to day. Let you know if that changes.

Clunky and cheap materials but works
Easy to assemble, but the parts aren't all there and this doesn't seal well around the cord. I don't like having excessive openings that will allow debris to slowly contaminate the inside. You will have to figure out a way to seal up the area around the wire entry to the box. The box feels very cheap. i haven't dropped it, but it feels like it will break into pieces if I do. I was hoping for something more durable for the price. Leviton seams to be getting cheaper which is unfortunate. This item was missing several screws so I had to use some of my own.
