Kalalou Rain Gauge Glass Replacement for Cast Iron Acorn Rain Gauge

We have two of these rain gauges, one at our city home and one at our farm. We honestly check the gauges morethan you might think. It helps use know when not to mow grass. Both properties have low areas that becomemarshy. One look at the gauge and we make the decision.We have had to buy glass replacements for this rain gauge. Hail or below zero weather can crack the glass. Myhusband and I need to be more vigilant about bring the glass tube indoors before the first cold night of lateautumn and store it until spring. There is not much we can do about super large hail. Yet with both of theseproblems, this is still our favorite gauge. It is really good looking.
