Comes disassembled. Putting it together was fairly straightforward. Decent woodworking on the "box" section.You will need to cut drywall to install.There are tracks on which the "grill vent" slides. This is fairly good quality. It slides perfectly and sort of "locks" into place when brought to the closed position.One negative: pictures in advertisements make grill look white in color. It is actually more of a gray color similar to that of an electrical panel. Makes it look a bit out of place once installed. For sure, I'll be doing a quick spray painting on the grill with white spray paint.Overall, a good purchase.

I purchase this for myself. I actually love it you can’t tell that it’s fake and that you have things in it definitely going to purchase another one and would recommend it for anyone who has some thing they want to conceal and not have to worry about someone finding.

I really wanted to keep this but after an hour of trying to find a way to make it work, I decided to return it.There are two glaring problems and a few minor issues.Big problem no. 1, how they position the guides requires that they are out past the surface of the wall. This results in about 1/4" gab between the vent and wall, all the way around (and it's not uniform, see below.) It looks abnormal. Grills/Vents always sit against the way tightly.Big problem no. 2, it slides open. The means there has to be a cut out on one side the grill. The problem is if you position it so the vents facing are down, these slots are clearly visible. Again, this stands out because grills/vents don't have these cut outs.Big problem no. 3, the vents face up. Depending on where you put it, (and definitely in my case) the slots face up. Which means if you look down you can see right into the cavity. With nothing in there you see the black velvet. But if you put docs or firearms or coins, etc, they are very visible. The solution is to turn it upsidedown. The problem with that is the slide slides the wrong way for me if I do that. They should probably make a "left hand" and "right hand" slide option so the vents always point down.Minor issues: screws not tight, guides were loose from the grill. (easy fix once I found all the hardware in the box. Grill/vent slightly warped. This is actually common for such items but when they are used in the home you have the screws that can tight it against the wall flat. Because it's attached to a slide, and because you don't want it to scratch the wall, there is a gap and it's non-uniform.Good points: It's made of real wood, and that was very nice. I expected some particle board but this is real wood. The velvet inside is very nice quality. The overall fit and finish (except for the above) is good, even above average. The slide moves pretty well. Size is good for my purposes.So I'm sorry but I had to return it. If the manuf. wants to contact me about these issues I have a design that will solve all these problems and be a far better device.

The cover is warped and will not slide smoothly on the tracks. The edges and corners are so sharp. You can easily cut your hand on the finish surface. On the side facing the wall those sharp edges scrape and gouge the wall
