As you can see in the attached in my pics the distal light is controlled via a small push button. There is no control cap for the button to prevent it from going off in your pocket. And when you plan on using it you are faced with dead batteries. Now I did discover a small cheat that kinda works, simply rotate the pocket clip over the the button this will prevent it from being unwittingly activated in your pocket. The led does take three small button batteries, and comes with an extra set. For the price of this and using my work around it is a great affordable tactical pen.

So this has been part of my EDC for a a few weeks. First, this an amazing pen, writes well, never had a hiccup. I did however leave the cap off and stuck it in my pants, and it dried out on day one. Could be a bad insert, but I digress. Been adamant about replacing the cap (Not leaving it on "write mode") and haven't had an issue since.The light has two fictions, steady and strobe. It will penetrate about 10 meters of darkness. I found it troublesome at first having the button opposite to the clip, it would turn on in my pocket. I would recommend orienting it in a 90° position from the clip.Haven't tested the glass breaker, on a window or assailant, but this is a study pen, so I'm sure it'll get the job done.Great pen, very affordable, and just the basics.

I was blown away by the quality of this pen, it definitely does not feel cheap at all.It writes smooth and fluid. The flashlight is just enough for needing some light in a pinch.The multi tool that comes with it is just as nice as the pen, and the knife blade on it is very sharp.All in all it is a great bargain.

Light was dim with not a very great beam even with new batteries. I didn’t care for the placement of the light button. I put it in my right front pant pocket and it would turn on by itself very easily.Pen is solid. Switching between the glass breaker and the pen is very easy. Lightweight. Sturdy.Free wallet genie / wallet tool is NOT TSA APPROVED. I didn’t even get a chance to use it. I had failed to remove it from my person. If TSA is thorough, they will confiscate it.

Product as described and well made. But very hard to find a refill that will fit and work. Most available refills are either too long or too short or will not slip through the nib opening.

Ordered it for Christmas. The original shipment didn't come with the multipurpose pocket survival tool. The seller express-mailed it out right away with extra gifts. What a Christmas surprise!! Great well-made good-quality products - especially for the price. Very happy about the purchase.

I find that when I keep the pen in my pants pocket the light keeps turning on.
