Was much taller than I expected. I didn't notice any age restriction when I ordered online and bought this for my 3 year old grandson, who lives abroad. It says on the box for age 5+ !!! Having said that.... It is a fantastic hat, excellent quality, not only is it a talking hat it is an automaton at the front - "moving mouth". I am thrilled with this purchase, and no doubt my craft skilled daughter will pad the inner rim to fit his 3 year old head. Guess it may become a bonus as it will last him longer once the padding can be removed as his head grows with age! I am absolutely sure he will love love love it. Can't wait to see him wearing it on FaceTime! I reckon his older brother who is 5 may just snatch it off him if he doesn't watch out! Excellent quality and thoroughly recommend.

No Photo, as we have only used this at home and no one wants to see my ugly mug, or the porcelain features of she who must be obeyed, and I am not overly keen in posting pictures of my children on Amazon.So trust me the review is real, the product is real, and this is the internet Jen, trust no one.The hat is awesome fun, children love it, as do I, the porcelain almost cracked into a smile, which is a rare sight.The mechanism is a little loud, and it has been a little repetative, or at least the children using non stop has been... I am looking forward to using it as, the sorting hat, for my daughters birthday, then it shall sit on my desk, next to deadpools head (review incoming) and a few other silly things...Lets be honest the magic of Harry Potter doesnt really fade, unless of course you choose to believe otherwise.

Not great box looked as if it had been scrapped along the floor and hat was dead so had to fit new batteries. Not worth the money but it's what my granddaughter wanted.

I was surprised and delighted to discover this was exactly like the real thing! We used it to display on top of the Christmas tree in place of the usual fairy, but it didn’t stay there long as it kept being taken down to delight us with its authenticity. Certainly value for money, a must have for all Harry Potter fans.

Opened this for my daughter birthday today and it worked once and then stopped. Changed the battteries and no its not on try me or off. Its a shame because it looks great
