Impressive
2018 Safari Ltd. MacraucheniaThis figure is quite lovely. It captures the essence of the animal perfectly, and is beautifully sculpted. The hair flows naturally all across the animal. The long, slender neck cranes up, and ever so slightly to the left. It really does resemble the wild llamas called Guanaco. The ears are alert, and sculpted in a rounded shape, much more like a deer than the longer ears of a llama. The trunk is a decent length, and the nostrils are sculpted into the end. Safari even included the small, finger-like tip that elephants have at the ends of their trunks. However, the trunk is sculpted hairless, so it lacks the hair detail found elsewhere. This entire area appears rather smooth, and lacking in finer textures. The mouth is slightly open, and the teeth are sculpted and painted. The interior of the mouth is sculpted, but is unfortunately not painted. That’s understandable, as it is an incredibly tiny area. The paint is well applied, and very naturalistic. It appears the main inspiration is the Guanaco. The face features a dark stripe that runs from the ear, across the glossily painted eye, and down toward the trunk. It strongly resembles the face markings of a gazelle. The legs are painted with a dark brown, as is the tail, and the hoofed toes are painted a grey color. It all blends together beautifully, and makes this figure look very much like a living animal. If you are a fan of prehistoric mammals, this figure is a must buy. While it does have some minor flaws, this is a fantastic addition to anyone’s prehistory collection.

Great! Ears are a bit fragile.
It’s a really nice figure and definitely one of my favorites. It has an awesome paint job! It’s the perfect addition to my collection of prehistoric animals. Like on of the other reviews said, the ears are very fragile and one of the ears came broken in the bag. I still give 5 stars because I think it’s still a great figure but I think it would be nice to strengthen the ears a little.

Macrauchenia herd
I'm about to animate a large herd of Macrauchenia feeding on grasslands and shrubs until they're being hunted by the saber-toothed cats.

Nice, but ears too fragile.
Very nicely made, but its ears are so fragile that they broke off within 10 minutes of opening.

Beautiful Model, decent price
I thought it was a very detailed, accurate model. I liked the coloration choice, and I'm big on detail. I haven't found anyone else who makes this species and they tend to ask more for that. I have no issues with the model or price and feel I did well in purchasing this one.

very nice but ears are fragile
It is hard to find historically accurate figures to enhance the cenozoic lessons . It would have been 5 stars but it arrived with a broken ear.
