I bought these to hold my spare change, I was concerned about their durability at first. But they are very sturdy, I filled 1 jar completely and it holds up very well. I would buy again.

I use these containers to store processed brass for reloading. They are crystal clear, and you can easily see the contents. The one gallon square jug will hold about 1500 9mm brass. These seem a little chintzy, but they do work. I use the 8 oz. mostly for freezing cooked chicken organs and deer tidbits for the dogs. My main freezer problem is that I don't have enough space in it. I could use 10 freezers, although I have a couple. I prefer the ziplock containers, since they nest so nicely in the drawers when empty. These don't, because they are straight walled. But, they stack nicely on their sides in the freezer, and don't waste space. I appreciate that, since every sliver of space is important to us. I put mine in the dishwasher, but then I never use heated dry. Any of these plastic things will shatter if dropped frozen, but otherwise, they have held up well, and I'm buying more, because killing more chickens. 8-) I've never tried the bigger sizes.

i was looking at my very old used plastic pretzel barrels and thought to myself... 'why do i have these grungy old things? i should get some nice NEW plastic storage bottles.'so they're new. they're nice. of course, like everything these days, they're made with as little material as possible, so they're very thin and not too sturdy. they're at least better than the crinkly water bottles.but i guess i will keep my old pretzel barrels, too. PS: they're not air tight (but i don't think my old ones are, either.)
