Exactly the same w/o the heat (edited)
Most interesting. I installed the first one in a two lamp fixture and kept the original incandescent 921 in place. This LED seemed to be identical to the incandescent in brightness and color but minus the heat. This is good because some places in the RV I didn't want anything brighter. I rated 4 stars on brightness because there are other styles of lamps that are much brighter (maybe too bright) but on the other hand it isn't fair to down grade the rating because they seem identical to the bulb they are designed to replace.Added, some technical info: Since this lamp is used while dry camping on battery power I measured current draw of this and a standard incandescent 921 lamp. The incandescent draws 1.24 amps while this somewhat comparable LED draws 0.11 amps. This is about a 92% reduction which means the battery will last almost 10x longer. Now instead of "getting by" with one light on at night I can use several and still have the batteries last longer.

Not as bright as advertised
We received the LEDs in good condition. I installed two of the in my RV, replacing two 921 incandescent bulbs. The LED bulbs work fine but are not as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced. If these bulbs really put out 500 lumens then they should be twice as bright as the old bulbs. The incandescent 921 has a rated light output of 264 lumens (when brand new).In the attached photo the old incandescent is on the left and the new LED bulb is on the right. It's clear that the LED is not as bright as the incandescent, when it should be twice as bright.

Doesn't need new fixture to work- Bulb Hack
I was happy how fast these were delivered and was looking forward to having a light on during the day that didn't heat the inside of my camper anymore than the 100 temp outside was already. Took out the burned up old bulbs, popped one of these in and nothing. Took it out & flipped it around, still nothing. Put the old bulbs in & they didnt work now either. So I did some research online and it appeared I needed to swap out fixtures, which I then purchased. Now I am returning fixtures after a friend showed me a "trick" to get the bulbs to work. I couldn't believe there was nothing I found online mentioning this easy fix, but here is how he got them to work. The end has 2 wires on each side, holding the bulb upright, bend the left wire out a little on each side then put into fixture. If it doesnt light, flip the bulb to other side.

Much less expensive than feared!
While I wish the bulbs were brighter, they work great. I was afraid that replacing the halogen bulbs in my camper would be exorbitantly expensive. It wasn't. I was able to replace every single bulb inside my camper for a minimal price. Since there was already evidence of heat damage to the fixtures, this was done just in time! And while the bulbs aren't as bright as I might wish, I can always flip on another light to help brighten up the area.Shipping was my only complaint. The bulbs sat for over a week before being sent out 2nd day, and that is just silly and aggravating! All in all, a very good deal for the money.HINT: If your bathroom light STILL won't light up after replacing the bulbs, look for a wall switch that you might not have noticed before.....

Inexpensive but iffy quality
On the bright side, these 921 bulbs are very inexpensive at 20 bulbs for around $13. Upon first receiving them, I am disappointed by their build quality. The base is made of cheap flimsy plastic, and having replaced a few burnt out bulbs I've seen sturdier plastic/composite bases melt in the socket from the heat generated by the current. The cheap pcbs that hold the LEDs don't inspire much confidence either. Regardless, I really hope I am proven wrong and don't get any defective units when I try them out.I will update my review once I test them.

Very bright replacement bulbs
Replaced all my camper bulbs with these! Love that they don’t put out heat like my old bulbs. They were all a nice bright white color. Easy to install! If they didn’t light up the first time I simply flipped the light as advised. They all work!

Not bad but could be brighter
Ever since LEDs became affordable, I've become an LED fiend. If I can stick an LED in it, then it's getting stuck. I recently bought an older RV and all the dome lights were those old dingy yellow incandescents. I ordered these and replaced all the old ones. Installation is easy but be aware that they only work if inserted one way. If they don't work then flip them over and stick them again. They are daylight and work well but I'd like them to be brighter. Not a huge deal for me but might be an issue for others. Overall, great value and would recommend to buy.

Not Brighter But Still Good
Not brighter than prior light bulbs but little to no heat unlike bulbs which are hot as hell. And these used less electricity which help battery life if off grid. Chose the white light option as gives more modern feel. Happy with purchase so far. Remember to flip if doesn't work as they have polarity.
