Great Affordable Replacement Guard For Fender Jazz Bass But Not A Perfect FitStill had to make some minor adjustments to fit my Fender Jazz Bass.The screw holes all aligned correctly, which was a relief, however had to do some minor scraping near the control plate V to fit correct, was a little to large.TIP: use a box cutter, razor blade or metal scraper tool to carefully scrape the edge of the pick guard to get it to fit correct. Happy with the results and the product in the end except for minor scrape adjustment needed. Nice they include hardware/screws as well.

I replaced the factory white pickguard on a player series jazz bass with this one. The print looks great, and the edges are all nice and clean. Some of the screw holes aren’t 100% centered and it doesn’t line up perfectly with the control plate (which I loosened), but it’s still an acceptable fit, and to be honest the factory fender PG had flaws too. This one is comparable to the factory PG overall.

This fit my Squier Classic Vibe without modification. It aligns perfectly to the neck, pickup and control plate. A couple screw holes are off only far enough that the screw went it at a very slight angle (to be fair, I have another Squier with more crooked screws from the factory.) I thought I was going to have the shave the pickguard down a bit at the neck joint but I was able to hold it flat against the control plate and wiggle it into position with a bit of pressure. Also note in the description, there are two layers of protective film to be peeled off.

Cheap 4 good quality up grace. Mount holes clean match. Finish/ bevel cut & shape/trim cut accurate.

Pick guard looks great when installed, but did require routing out of the pickup area for my particular bass (90’s standard jazz, made in Mexico) If you’re good with a dremel tool file, it’ll be fine.

As good as many costing as much as double the price. Very well packaged. Includes screws.Why go anywhere else?

This is my second attempt at buying a third-party tortoiseshell pickguard, and I have to say, it's a lot better than the first one. The tortoiseshell pattern is on a pretty thin layer so there's not a lot of depth to it, but it does appear to actually be swirled into the plastic rather than just cheap printing on solid-color plastic, like the "other guy".I bought this for a Squier Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass (Indonesia 2017). It's tight against the neck, and the cutout for the pickup is just barely big enough. It does not fit against the control plate as originally installed, BUT… I removed the screws and shifted the control plate down by about 1/8 of an inch and it lines up just right, with enough space from the original screw holes that I can drill new holes for the control plate and it will be a perfect, snug fit.I haven't actually installed it yet, because I'm giving myself some time to make sure I really want to drill 13 holes in the body of the bass! No turning back! But, I am pleased with the quality and fit of this pickguard.** UPDATE ** After spending a week deliberating, I decided to go ahead and install it. I removed the screws from the control plate, slid the pickguard into place, and then repositioned the control plate for a perfect fit against the pickguard and drilled new holes — basically shifted the control plate diagonally down about 1/8 inch from its original position. Now everything is a perfect, snug fit. My bass didn't come with a pickguard, so I had to drill all of the holes, but this was easy with a 1/16" bit.I'm very pleased with the end result! Note that these pickguards come with TWO layers of protective film on the front... be sure to peel them both off when you're done! (Again, this is a 2017/2018 Indonesian-made Squier Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass. It does fit if you move the control plate!)

Good quality, bought it to replace the (very) aged and yellowed Warmoth I had on my old Highway One Jazz Bass. Just like the Warmoth one I bought 10 years ago, it didn't fit 100% correctly - the holes all lined up but I had to use a sharp exacto knife to trim the part that comes into contact with my jack plate (but that said, I have an Audere preamp jack plate, so it's possible that it's the Audere that's the issue.). Either way, simple to adjust (took 5 mins using a knife and a cutting board) and looks great. I'd give it 5 stars except for having to mod it, but once again I'm not sure if that's because of my preamp or not.
