This diamond strop compound works very well for knife sharpening and polishing. It removes small scratches quickly and leaves the blade with a mirror finish. The compound spreads evenly with only one of them being a little dry but still works on the strop, and only a small amount is needed to get results. After using it, my knives feel sharper, cuts better, and holds their edge long enough for use.

Works well & much better price than some others. I put it on all my strops now, & without spending a ton. A lil goes a long way...

Using as stropping compound, great results! The first little bit in the syringe was dry but not a huge issue. Stropped a blade without even sharpening first and it got wicked sharp.

This SCOTTCHEN 1,500-grit diamond polishing paste is OK overall—nothing special, but it does work. I use diamond compounds like this on leather strops after sharpening, because experienced sharpeners know that proper stropping is what separates a sharp edge from an exceptional, clean push-cutting edge. The paste applies easily to leather and provides a noticeable refinement to the edge, especially after finishing stones or fixed-angle systems. It does what it’s supposed to do and is perfectly usable for routine stropping and edge maintenance. That said, it doesn’t really stand out from other diamond pastes in this grit range. Performance is acceptable, but not remarkable enough to earn a full five stars. Overall, a serviceable diamond stropping compound that gets the job done, just without anything that truly sets it apart.

Particles are extra, extra, extra fine and really help in metal polishing !

Polishing paste. Good.

The product is oil based and it is delivered in a syringe that has a rubber plunger instead of a hard plastic. When I tried to use the product, the stem came out of the rubber because it had softened due to the solvent it had sipped in. The paste is not bad, but it will probably dry up fast, at taking it out might be difficult as the plunger degrades further. UPDATE I've increased the rating one star because the seller contacted me about the subject. Although the product itself is good, I cannot give it 5 stars due to the same reason I gave above.
