I've always been leery of these add-on display units because of a poor experience with one 4 years ago. After watching a few review videos and communicating with one user directly, I decided to give this one a shot for our 2004 LS430.I am now duly impressed. It really is plug and play using the FM transmitter for audio. Pairing our iPhones was painless and the resulting CarPlay functionality is perfect. The screen is sharp and bright and easy to adjust to fit your environment. At this point, I'm using the windshield mount while I determine the best location for a permanent mount.At the list price, this unit is a great deal, but we did have a couple of gift cards that made the deal even sweeter.

Ideal for a small car with Bluetooth but no apple CarPlay .Light enough to be easily fixed on the dashboard, reactive and immediate connection to both the phone and the car.Only downside is that the screen could lack contrast vipul at this price this is acceptable.Overall a nice add on that is much more practical than having a smartphone, and safer too.Bigger screen means instructions are easier to follow.

This 8.1” wireless CarPlay screen is a total failure. It barely connects to my phone, and when it does, the connection drops randomly while I’m driving. The touchscreen is super laggy, the interface looks outdated, and half the apps don’t work properly. The backup camera has a terrible delay and fuzzy video—absolutely no help when reversing. The screen is hard to see in daylight, and the mounting bracket broke after a week. Save your money. This thing is not worth the hassle.

This is a great product. Connects so easy and never had a problem with it. I use it in my 97 jeep wrangler. Mounts perfect on the dash.

The unit itself worked great! Connected simply and provided a great view for me to use in my older car. I really liked the long profile to be able to see more of the maps along with the other apps. Overall, very pleased with the tablet.The big issue I faced is with the tablet mounts that came with the unit. Two different types of mounts came with the unit, which is great. However, they failed at every step of the way. The mount adjustments kept coming loose as the unit got hotter in the car. The loose mounts lead to the tablet flopping around while driving. I wound up having to purchase a new tablet mount in my car.Again, overall a solid product but the mounts detracted from the overall satisfaction with the unit.

The media could not be loaded. My car is older and the built-in screen only shows radio/GPS, so I've been really enjoying this device. Setup was pretty easy; just plug into a power source and connect to Bluetooth once, and you're all set! I have an iPhone so I use the CarPlay feature, but it also connects to Android Auto. I can even cast my phone screen onto the device if I really wanted to. I also find it helpful that you can use Siri and respond to text messages on the CarPlay itself.What's nice is that you can connect your CarPlay audio to your car speakers in a few different ways. My phone connects to two Bluetooth devices at once; my car receiver, and this product. That way, I hear calls/music through my car speakers, but I still navigate with the screen. But you can also connect your CarPlay device to you car speakers via FM or aux.The backup camera is nice too. The wire connects to the CarPlay and has to run through the car all the way to the rear; I know there's a way to hide the wire, but I was too lazy to do it. Once it's set up, you just click two buttons and the camera appears crystal clear on the screen! Again, I need my friend to help me angle the camera a little better, but I love how it's compact and fairly easy to install.Overall it's a great product :) my only complaint is that my phone started getting kinda warm when I tried using it while it was connected to the CarPlay. But typically (hopefully) people wouldn't be using their phone while their driving, especially if they have this... right?Hope this review helps !

The media could not be loaded. This CarPlay screen works well. Response is quick and features are useful. It definitely provides a good modernization for older cars. Software is quick, screen quality is nice. Has a built in speaker but also connects via Bluetooth or analog. Make sure you choose the proper output so Siri doesn’t talk to itself! I accidentally left it on speaker mode and Siri would give itself commands. Backup camera works and is clear. You can adjust the parking lines too. Comes with two mounting options and plenty extra sticky tape. Let the adhesive sit for 24 hrs before putting the screen on.
