Impressive Bond to Steel & Impressive Temperature Rating
Amazing stuff. It bonds tight to steel. I used on a damaged exhaust port on a '98 Ranger 4.0 L V6, where exhaust manifold bolt broke and exhaust damaged head surface and exhaust manifold. Also used at crossover pipe to front of catalytic converter. In both cases with gaskets, of course. But fit of metal parts was not uniformly tight on gasket. This material was applied to fill any gaps. I've only run engine at idle so far but all joints seem tight and holding.

Expensive but it worked!
I fixed a pitted exhaust manifold / 460 engine head port on a 1976 Ford pickup with this stuff. I'm hoping this fix will hold until the engine gives me enough cause to rebuild it at which time I'll have all the surfaces machined or replace them but it's running well and no more exhaust in the engine compartment! Until then, I have no reason to think this stuff won't hold up, from what I've seen to this point, it's truly amazing stuff!
