The best Capo I have used
I have a collection of capos and have been very happy with my Planet Waves capos with adjustment wheels but needed a wide neck capo for my travel guitar. This was my first Paige model which encouraged me to add a Paige standard 6 string capo to my collection. I like the adjustment, like the Planet Waves ones, but the difference is the Paige has a smaller footprint which helps with retaining tuning and avoiding impacting on my fingering. The price is considerably more than my previous capos but it has been thoughtfully and well constructed of what feels like quality materials. It is now my go to capo.

Nice capo
Best capo I own. Nice and delicate. Doesn’t get in the way like other capos do. Only light pressure on strings suffice. Can live on headstock when not in use. No string buzz

Simple but very effective
I will never use a spring or clamp action capo again. This was recommended on you tube by the great Tony RIce in one of his lessons. It may seem very low tec but believe me it puts just the right amount of balanced pressure on the strings without damaging strings, frets or fingerboard and it can be slid over the nut when not in use so you won't lose it.

Not as good as I was hoping
I bought this with high expectations, and initially, I wasn't disappointed. However in the few short months since I got it and lightly used. I discovered that it wasn't built to last. The plastic tube has become distressed and no longer provides even tension over the strings. The felt pad has become frayed and lifting away. I stopped using it as it had become too unreliable when playing. I could buy more tubing and then buy more felt and repair it myself, however, I fear that it wouldn't be long before I have to do this again. As I said, it is only ever used occasionally, so I would have thought that it would have lasted a lot longer than it has done.

It's a must
After reading the positive reviews I decided to give the Paige Capo a try, bearing in mind I've used Shubb, G7th and Jim Dunlop. Without a doubt this s the best I've used and I've played for many years. Because you can adjust the pressure it won't throw the tuning out like many others do.

Don’t over-tighten!!
Having bought the expensive G7th version of this type of capo I thought I would get one of the Paige stirrup style capo as back up and a cheaper option. The capo arrived promptly and was well made. I found it to be unobtrusive- most capos get in my way- and did not alter the tuning so long as it wasn’t over-tightened, a commonly made mistake. This was on a couple of quality guitars- two different Martins and a Gibson J45- so I wouldn’t like to comment on the effect on less expensive instruments, but it was good enough for me to order another for myself and one for a friend.
