Best RGB color for Budget Mini-LED
Bought the budget TCL mini-led QM5K 50 inch and everything about it was perfect (Google TV) but the color was a little off and not sure if that is a one-off issue, or if all 5K's are like that. Very impressive with vibrant colors and smooth clear images, but it didn't have a wide range in the yellow and orange colors. It was a little limited even after trying all sorts of color calibrations and adjustments. Bought this TV and it does have smooth play issues (stuttering) at the beginning of Prime Video. After about a minute, it is okay. Tried both Ethernet and WIFI and it didn't matter. Haven't tried my fire or Roku stick yet, but I might. If this Hisense had Google TV, I would have bought two, no question. I don't like Fire much. As for the color, I use the "Custom" setting for Picture Mode and the color is EXACTLY the way I like it. It's so good, I didn't even check the other settings. I use the same exact numbers for HLG, HDR10, and "standard video (like youtube) and live TV". Having "Skin Tone Control" really helps add more color without over-saturation. I didn't see that on my TCL. Not sure if the AI chip learns the signal format, but it does seem to improve the more I use it. Not a lot, but it does seem smoother and clearer now than out of the box. Another win for this TV over the 5K is I have it hooked up to a Vizio sound bar. On this TV, when you adjust the volume, it gives a number value (10,12,14) but the TCL just shows + or -. I like to see the number volume value. Since Fire isn't intuitive for setting, you have to disconnect the eARC HDMI cable, THEN adjust your bass/treble, then plug it back in. (huh?) to add depth to the sound bar. Hisense does need to tweak this model a little bit, and if they do, it will be very much a value win as a mini-led at this price point and is very much worth it. I almost went with a QLED, but glad I spent the extra $100 or so for mini-led.

Wonderful TV.
I've waited about a month to give my review, so far the tv is great, the picture is crisp, color is great, no lag in fast action, even older streaming movies look great, I'm completely satisfied with this purchase, and the price was amazing, I opted for the old tv removal, new tv unpacking and set up, Amazon did a great job, I've seen the negative reviews, my best advice, ignore them, you'll love this tv.

If you have a recast DVR, the TV cannot access the recordings
If you are a prime member, you will surely want a Fire TV. However, switching to the fire stick for Recast DVR is a bit cumbersome and the TV soes not have Recast controls because Amazon no longer sells them. . Neither Amazon nor Hisense were helpful. The AE gate was so high, i never got over it. Also, there was a glitch with the TV turning on and off my Polk sound bar. However, the Hisense speakers are quite good with controls to enhance speech. Great picture and price for a high-end TV for realism and gaming, I expect. It has a jack as well as Blue-Tooth for headphones. I switched to a Roku TV and now control everything with the Fire FV Stick remote.

Decent HDR once I figured out the issues, but otherwise a mediocre tv.
Video was not quite what I expected. sRGB was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Out of the box settings for HDR looked horrible. It was not the full 10bit per color. It was 8 bit per color at best with lots of banding between different colors and it made some color areas oversaturated with geat loss of detail. The solution was buried quit deep in the picture menu. It was HDR Enhancement. This restored 10 bit per color for HDR. Once I enabled that & ran windows HDR Calibration & set the saturation to maximum, it looked very close to what I see on my oled monitors, which is very good. Note this is true only if you are sitting directly in front with only about 15 degrees of leeway to either side. Otherwise, the image starts wo look washed out. The remote control works well. I did not test the wifi connection as I had intended this to be connected through a computer on an HDMI connection. Hdmi 1 quit working after a driver update to my computers video card though. HDMI 2 still works though on the same exact settings. HDMI 1 refused to work no matter which port I used on the video card. Nor did it work on my computers on board CPU based video processor. It worked well initially. The menu was easy to navigate to the HDMI port selection from the home screen, which was a good thing as it does not remember the setting upon being turned off then back on

Very happy with new Hisense TV
I just received this TV today it was replacing a Westinghouse 43 in UHD with HDR TV and the picture is so much better and brighter. A couple of days ago I turned on my Westinghouse and the screen was really dark I tried everything to resolve the issue and couldn't so I decided to buy a new TV and for less than $300 you can't do better than this. The Dolby vision is great the sound is great. Only suggestion would be when you get the TV and you're watching content click on the gear for settings and then turn off the light sense option

Great TV
I purchased a LG TV. It didn't last 2 years. I did my research and it said the Hisense 85" was one of the best. The installation was a piece of cake according to my great nephew. I love the remote control. Very easy to use since it doesn't have very many buttons. I just wish they would make a remote with a light in the background so us old folks could see it better. The sound is great. I don't have to use my Bose and I can hear it perfectly. The picture is great.

Amazing!
When it comes to shopping for a TV I am very particular. It takes me forever to make a decision as I'm always looking up reviews going to YouTube to see how the TVs work what they stand up against etc etc. The one I had sitting in my cart for a very long time with the brand new 65 inch Amazon fire TV mini LED when I kept seeing this one appearing everywhere. I used to not like Hisense tvs at all however they have really stepped up lately and are definitely something to pay attention to. Unlike a lot of other low budget television sets Hisense is putting in a major effort into the quality of their TVs in this one shows. Sometimes the most expensive TV is not going to be the best which is where they get us. With the prices of everything these days skyrocketing in our economy to see such a quality product like this be available for the price that it is is so absolutely worth it. Don't be afraid of the price point it doesn't make it a cheap TV. Take the time and do the reviews yourself go to YouTube watch people who have unboxed it and used it. The colors on this TV are mind-blowing they are so intricate and all details are amazing the blacks are true blacks and the colors are true colors so bright plus the fact you can customize everything for every input for every app I'm also using the gaming mode and it is seamless so I highly highly recommend this TV if I could give it 10 Stars I would

Great value and very sturdy tv
I recently ordered same size Samsung hung it, set it up and returned it after I found out I can't do anything without creating a Samsung acct and it's not Android so limited apps. This TV is very heavy, when I put the wall mount on the Samsung the entire back flexed. The Hisense is much sturdier. It's a fire TV so way more app flexibility. I love the built in Alexa being able to say " install HBO app"instead of clicking through 5 screens and having to type in the app you're looking is a game changer. The Samsung was about the same price and the picture was clearer, but the Hisense has much more vivid colors and more pictures settings that actually do something. Overall my only reason for not giving it 5 stars would be it's a little bit slow/ lags behind navigating but unlike other TVs even though it lags when you click right when navigating 3 times, it goes over 3 boxes so it's not that bad. If this wasn't for my bedroom, I would find the next tier or 2 up model and hope for faster smoother Interface. Also wasn't able to pair any of my other Amazon/fire tv remotes that have been able to pair with multiple other brands of fire TVs
