what is better the conditioner or tue detangler

The detangler. Read the reviews though, I got one of the 33.8oz bottles from a Amazon seller, not Amazon direct and like many of the other reviews it was different than the same conditioner I have used in the past. It was either watered down or a totally different product, it smelled almost like Vaseline hand lotion not the normal salon smell, it was thinner, and did not work well. The 'real' PM bought from a salon is excellent, it's thick rich and conditions and detangles really well. Just read the review before you buy, buy from Amazon direct or just buy it from a salon to get genuine product.

Does this work on fine hair? Description says medium to coarse.

It does work well on all hair types. If your hair is very fine or tends to be oily, avoid applying close to the scalp.

How do i know what paul mitchell product i buy, conditioner in this case, is not fake/counterfeit ?

That is a great question. Not sure how long you have been using PM product, couple of years ago there was over 50 sellers, recently Paul Mitchell (PM) took back control and now can regulate who can sell on Amazon. There is a handful of us that are approved and allowed to sell on a amazon. You can research the sellers and or call PM directly for a list of approved vendors on Amazon.
