All Purpose Orchid Mix by rePotme - Value - (Starter Bag)

I bought this for the first time because it was in stock and a little cheaper than the usual orchid mix I buy from rePotme. It seems to work well. I’ve been mixing it with the orchid mix already in my pots.

Repotted my orchid and she is doing amazing. Great Soil.

Good mix. I would prefer more bark and less moss for my Phalenopsis.

I only took a star off because it really is a pretty small bag for the price. That aside, it’s a perfect mix for mini phalaenopsis orchids. I did cut (easy to cut with regular scissors) into slightly smaller pieces, though this wouldn’t be absolutely necessary, and added some Sphagnum moss and my orchids are super happy. I will be buying more when it’s time to repot again.

Does not look as pictured. I was tempted to return product when I saw it was so small. However, when I looked back at the description I saw it said starter size. I did not see that before. It would be better to get from a garden center. I will not purchase again.

The plants are absolutely thriving in this media so happy I discovered it I do have to think first of all Miss Orchid girl on YouTube she has really educated me a lot on Orchids alone and the different types of media that she has discovered herself and what she recommends for her viewers and she has led me to repot me.com and I love your product I am looking to be in the future buying more I recommend High reviews for this product and the company and I want to give thanks to miss Orchid girl for giving me the direction thank you both of you and thank you Amazon for carrying the product so I'm thinking all three of you! The company's representative was quite responsive. I bought this because the description says (at this writing 2022-11-15) it can be used for all orchids. It cannot. We do have orchids it can be used for, or it can be augmented with less water-absorbent potting media. But for Cattleya types and hybrids similar to Cattleyas and other epiphytic orchids, it should not be used unless you augment it perhaps with 95% bark (not coconut bark which is very water-absorbent. The company does support at least one video enterprise which is very good. So be sure you know your orchid's potting media requirements before you buy it. The description omits key information. I found this surprising for a shop that supports presentations I find very helpful which was my principal reason for buying its product. It left a sour taste in my mouth. However, a customer service representative my wife phoned agreed with my understanding it is not for Cattleya or other epiphytic types. In brief, I do not think it would work well for phalaenopsis, dendrobiums, vandas or encyclia types unless it was perhaps a 5% part of a mix with say 95% bark or small volcanic chunks. I hope they will correct this as by appearances, it seems deceptive. Otherwise I plan to purchase from them as the need arises. The cost is higher than other vendors, but because this firm supports good information elsewhere, I think that speaks well of the company. It's unfortunate the product description is lacking vital information.

I used this product for my phal orchid and occasionally use it for other epiphytes. Repot me has great products. I would really consider how dry your environment is before only using a bark mixture on your orchid. This mix would be great for any orchid that really likes ventilation, however I do have to water my orchid twice a week with this mixture. My house is 35% humidity if I'm lucky.

Seems like a good orchid mix. But $50 for a very small bag is steep.

Good Product, but not worth the money for such a small bag.Also bag contains 25% less than advertised.
