Easy to install and works really well, great quality

We had a problem with the door to our garage slamming shut if it was windy, and any doors or windows were open. I replaced our door closer, and it was better for about three years and then it slowly began to happen again. I looked for a better quality replacement, and found this one on Amazon. It had great reviews, and so far it has lived up to the reviews. The door no longer slams under any conditions. It does require more force to open it, but not uncomfortably so. I feared the extra force would increase the tendency to slam, but it is so well damped it does not happen. An interesting side note: I recently stayed in a hotel and the door closers on the room doors appear to be the same so the same as this. If they can hold up to commercial use I think it will hold up to my garage.

It was easy to install with the instructions. It works well and looks good.

We had a little bit of trouble installing this door closer (not the product but our knowledge!) so we called the help line and not only got a live person, but he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He had an app that walked us through the installation step by step, then he figured out what we were doing wrong and talked us through how to fix it. The door works better than it has in 30 years!!

The swing on them are a little bit shorter than I expected and they are hard to open but they do work

The unit works as advertised - installation was somewhat tricky due to my inexperience with such devices but ultimately made it work.

Good closer. Replaced an older closer that leaked all of its oil out and just slammed the door closed. Works great. and safer too

Difficult to install and once it is installed, the door is VERY difficult to open. No good answer as to how to make the door easier to open.

Très bonne fabrication, un peu difficile à ajuster, il faut beaucoup de force pour ouvrir la porte. Par contre, le réglage de la vitesse et force de fermeture sont faciles à régler. Explications de montage plus ou moins claires, je suis allé sur YT pour être plus sûr. Le système est si puissant que les 4 vis de fixation( pour le métal) sur une porte de garage en métal se sont petit à petit désolidarisées. Je vais devoir percer la porte de bord en bord pour faire un montage plus solide, en achetant des boulons plus longs avec écrous et rondelles. À suivre...
