The SLC450 is designed to compete directly with its “copycat” 1LCD Projector cousins. It’s priced the same but is brighter, smaller, more colorful, more power efficient and better in every way. AAXA Technologies SLC450 is a 450 LED Lumen 1080P Native Resolution mini projector based on Silicon Liquid Crystal technology. The SLC technology found in the SLC450 is derived from 3 imager Cinema technology and then scaled into a mini projector form factor. The SLC450 is superior to its 1LCD projector cousins by employing an RGB LED and field-sequential technology that achieves a superior color mix over single white LED projectors. This same technology allows the implementation of short-throw, 100% offset optics which is unavailable in 1LCD projector products. Furthermore this advanced optical engine itself is just a few inches in diameter enabling a true mini projector measuring less than 5” in width and just 1.3” thick – a fraction of the size of the 1LCD projectors. The SLC450 also eliminates the multiple chipsets required for pixel-shifting technology found in many of its DLP projector cousins – thus reducing cost. The SLC450 at just a slight premium to its cheaper 1LCD projector cousins. The SLC450 incorporates a true native 1920 x 1080 pixel imager – avoiding pixel shifting to achieve higher resolutions in small form factors.
