Update: One of the hubs on the wheels have broken. No problem right? They're warranted right? Well been trying to get ahold of VNLA for 2 weeks and still no response. I would try contacting them first before you buy. My Reidell Ombres, my starter skates, broke a truck and I talked to a human on the phone and had a replacement one in 3 days. They were 1/2 the price of my jams... come on! alright the good and the bad for me... The patent leather, while looks great is easily scuffable, It's my bad but getting used to plugs instead of stoppers took a spill and scuffed the patent off of one toe already. The plate and trucks are both nylon, meaning not as strong as some with the aluminum trucks at least, but should be good enough for a while. The good, the wheels feel nice and grippy even with the higher 95 rating so won't need to upgrade those. Also the wheels were slightly over tightened, but once adjusted the bearings felt as good or better than the roller bones I'd been running on my Riedells. Overall build quality is great at this price point and the leather boots are A1 quality to me. Eventually may upgrade to better trucks and plates?, time will tell how they hold up to rhythm dance skating.

I purchase a pair of skates for my 11 year old for her birthday. The size was to large so I returned after purchasing the right size. The wait for a refund took forever. I had to contact Skate Direct at least 3 times before I finally received the refund. Disappointed.

These started out a little iffy, but i had tightened the wheels and trucks too much. After getting help with adjusting them. It was like i was skating from the time i was 7 until now 35+ years later. I used to skate a lot and i never wore low or 3/4 skates. These after in between low and 3/4 skates. I really like how nimble they are.

I know this is technically a “jam” style skate but it works really well as well for being a rhythm type skate too, I’m 5’ 7” and weigh around 140 and the wheels had more than enough grip to pretty much do anything you needed them to do on a hardwood floor. They are really comfortable right out of the box and I would imagine they’re only going to get more comfortable as time passes

Daughter is happy. She had the wheels loosened at our local roller skating rink because she said they were too tight and weren't spinning as freely as she likes. She flies now going as fast as she likes! (Something I wouldn't suggest unless you are a professional skater because man you go wicked fast and have to be able to control that kinda speed!) 😄

Great skates, pretty good fit. Need to break in the ankle area for my monstrous ankles. All in alll I love these skates!

These are some of the best skates money can buy! They require very little break-in time. BEFORE SKATING TIGHTEN THEM UP AT THE BOTTOM WITH A WRENCH OR SKATE TOOL!!! Once you do that they will be good to go. These are the best skates I ever put on my feet. They are comfortable and stylish.

These are my sons first pair of skates and he loves them. I recommend getting the toe guards cause he scuffed up the toe of his boot the 2nd time he wore them.
