Wyrd Miniatures 20501 Outcasts Viktorias Crew Box Set

I've painted miniatures for various games for 15 years. Wyrd miniatures are the most detailed and artistic I've ever painted.It's important to note these miniatures have a unique scale. They are slightly taller and thinner than the typical "heroic scale" of Games Workshop, Reaper, etc.My only criticism is that these miniatures come on the sprue in several pieces and some are extremely fragile. Taelor has suspender straps that are minute. I ended up breaking mine and went without. I believe these pieces are designed in CAD so that when assembled they show as few mold lines as possible. That's fine, but it makes them extremely difficult to assemble.I would not recommend these minis to a first time modeler due to the difficult assembly. Painting was a breeze.

Normally I expect a relative level of difficulty in assembling miniatures like this, but I felt these were beyond help in getting the result I wanted. The bonding surfaces seemed poorly designed enough or simply didn't have the resolution in the sculpt to get a seamless connection between 2 pieces. Expect to use some modelling putty on these before you will be able to get a good paint result on the joints.
