What decaffeination process doe PG tips use?

What is "New" about it besides the box and the number of tea bags? Are they using a new decaffeination technique?

The blend has been reformulated (I contacted PG Tips because I thought there must have been a manufacturing malfunction due to such a different taste). It has a weird taste of bergamot in my opinion. That may be ok for folks who drink their tea black but it doesn't pair well with milk. It's not at all like the previous version when there were 80 tea bags in a box. It's not as strong, not like a proper British cuppa. I have to use 4 teabags in my teapot where I used to put 3 teabags in the teapot with the original version, and let it steep for a lot longer. Suggest you buy one or two boxes to see if you like it before you land yourself with 4 or more boxes of the stuff.

The expiration date on the tea I received is Feb 2017

Are there a total of 160 bags of tea with this offer?

Yes, 160 bags total, 80 bags per box. A good deal since PG Tips Decaf is hard to find, at least in my area.
