Solid piece of hardware! Opens smooth. Great feel in the hand. Heavy so might not be ideal for daily carry but I'm a big guy so it works for me. Buy it!

This knife stays in my pocket now, the handle and the blade are beautiful, and the blade is well made, it holds an edge very well, the action on the knife is great, with a very satisfying click as the spring sends the blade flying open. I love this knife. I bought it almost a year ago on my birthday, and since then it has gone with me everywhere. I have used it for everything including: Cutting/scoring sheet rock panels, cutting small timber to make kindling, rubber, paper, plastic, you name it. And it holds the edge well. No chips, no breaks, no hard rolls that needed to be re-honed on my hard-grit stone. I just keep it sharp with my smooth wet-stone every couple days and it stays working well. It is the first knife I have owned that has the pocket-catch opening feature, which I gotta say I am addicted to, not only is that convenient for use, but also a cool party trick, or (I have not needed to do this.....yet) A good way to intimidate someone who is getting aggressive with you, by puling the knife out of your pocket and having the blade deploy in a single move. I love this knife. Make more like it and I will buy them to match it!!! I gave it 5 stars only because there is not a 6th or 7th star to give it.

The Valhalla Pastor knife has an excellent feel. Well constructed. Beautiful and functional knife. The easy open feature is spring assisted with full deployment the first time every time. It has a nice hefty weight to it. The heaviness is a nice feature, not a problem, and it can remind you that even though it looks beautiful, it is ready to work. Only one side is sharp to prevent users from cutting their fingers when closing. Although pretty good quality and performance, the one bad thing is the balance, more like not balance at all. No need to practice throwing with this knife at the target because the rotation will be inconsistent. If someone needs to throw it, then throw it with the blade folded closed because the weight alone can cause damage.
