Frankford Arsenal Corn Cob Brass Cleaning Media has been designed to quickly and efficiently remove dirt, grit and powder residue from brass cases before reloading to keep reloading dies in top working condition. Media can be used repeatedly, but should be replaced periodically for optimum performance.

I have been using since 1984, the year, not the book.
Have used this for 20 years. Treated, but always add a cap full of polish. Add more polish after 5-6 uses. Put cap full of case polish (stay away from auto parts polish) and tumble for an hour before adding brass. Otherwise polish coagulates on brass. I use walnut to clean, corn cob to polish in Thumbler’s Tumbler Model B. I let run 24 hours each step. I cannot think of anytime I have ever been dissatisfied with a Frankfort Arsenal product.

"Reusable Plastic Case"= Plastic Bag
I specifically bought this size because it was the largest size that still came in what the listing describes as "reusable plastic case". When it arrived I found out that a "reusable plastic case" is actually a plastic bag. The listing is misleading and deceptive. I would have just bought the largest size (better value) if I had known what I was ordering came in a bag and not a tub of some kind with a lid. I will not purchase again.

Works Great for Me!
I wanted to use this media a few times before I give a recommendation. I was using the Layman brand of media until I found this much larger bag for the same money. After using this media to clean 40,38,45, 9mm and 5.56 calibers I think it does a great job. So far the only difference between the two brands is media size. The Layman brand seemed to get stuck in the primer flash hole when cleaning unprimed brass. This media does not appear to get stuck as often and is much easier to remove when it does get stuck. The Frankford media seems more dusty when first using it but after a cycle or two the dust settles down and I can't tell the difference between he two brands. I did try a sonic brass cleaner and ended up resorting back to using Frankford Corn Cob media because it seems to clean better and gives a new brass finish most of the time. I highly recommend this product and will continue to purchase it myself as long as the price stays in-check.

Nope, No way, Don't Think So
I spend enough time in making my casings look and feel like new. Your Dies and Firearms appreciate your time. But,,,, this corn stuff is sticky and full of dust. I spent wasted time in cleaning out the inside's of my cases and dusting off my bench. I should of stayed with the crushed Walnut shells. Better yet I should have spent the money on the Stainless Steel Brass Tumbler. I just might anyway. Live and learn. Will not recommend.

Unbeatable Price Point
I searched various places and could not find a better deal than this. With the larger bag, I will be more likely to swap out questionable media rather than keep using it with poor results. This is untreated media, but there are more than enough options to make it treated (e.g. 1 tb mineral spirits, 1 tb car polish; mix and drizzle into tumbler; run for three hours to coat media). There are also various opinions on corn vs. walnut (e.g. one cleans better, one polishes better). Regardless, both do a great job prepping brass. This product is a great buy!

Great value!
Great value for 15lbs of corn cob media! Every where else is more expensive a lot of times for less media even so this is a great deal for quality media. I use about 3lbs in my Frankford Arsenal 110v tumbler a table spoon of brass polish. Depending on how dirty or carbon covered your brass is I've been able to reuse the same couple pounds of media several times before having to throw it out. When your primer pockets start filling up with old media is when I throw it away. Eventually you'll be able to tell by the discoloration of the media when to throw it out. All in all I'm completely satisfied and will definitely order again!

Dusty - but works well to clean brass
I've been using corn-cob and walnut shell media for 45+ years to clean brass. Once it starts to get dirty, the cleaning time goes up exponentially; it's better to just replace the media and get the job done quicker. Now that I also wet tumble with SS pin media, I use my dry-media vibratory cleaner less - but this is still a good buy and can be used when the wet system isn't convenient.

FA Corncob media
I've used this tumbler media before and not had any issues with it - not that I expect any from ground up corn cob. I primarily use it in a vibrator tumbler for polishing rifle and pistol cartridge cases prior to reloading. I've also used it as a final polish for match bullets that I have I moly coated. Use it as it is or with FA Quick-N-EZ brass polish. Works great! Free shipping with Prime makes it a really good deal.

Renewed used old brass like new.
I have the Frankford Arsenal EZ tumbler, which one half of this pack fills happily, pretty convenient I thought. The instructions said to tumble for up to two hours, after around 45 minutes the difference was amazing my used, slightly tired looking brass looked almost like new.Don't get me wrong this isn't a miracle worker, you still need to clean first, I use an ultrasonic bath to clean, but have never used a polisher before.Nuff said, I'm sold and will be buying again.

Poor media.
This media turned out to be a very soft light media like sawdust. In fact I used to be a Mill worker, and we used to throw this stuff away from the Wheat mills as it was waste, wheat husk, identical stuff. I haven't tried it yet, but I think its too light to do a proper cleaning job on my brass.

Works pretty well
The price is on the higher side for this product. Why did I pay more to buy this one? Convenient jug to store it in. The product itself seems to work well. I tumbled 400 rounds of 9mm in my Frankford Arsenal tumbler for 3 hours and they came out pretty shiny. It doesn't shine up the inside of the case like the outside though. I also found that it didn't always get all black off the mouth of the cases in both 9mm and 243. For the most part the're pretty good! I would buy this corn cob media again.I put half this jug in my tumbler with 2.5 caps of NuFinish car polish. Seemed to work pretty well. I've attached some before and after pictures. The 2 live rounds in between the cases are brand new never reloaded Federal Premium rounds.

Good but should be cheaper
It’s just corn cob media. I use it to remove case lube on my rifle cases or loaded pistol rounds. Works good when you add 3 caps of rapid polish and tumble the media for 2 hours before you start using it. Should be cheaper though.
