[UPDATE 5-20-2022] I originally gave this a 4 star rating, but It is so incredibly versatile and I have done so much with it, I have to give it 5 stars. Added a picture of what I've built off this enclosure. GoPro Hero 9 with power bank instead of battery, to remove some heat and a wide angle add-on lens. With adjustable bike mount bracket. Love this because pretty much anything 52mm threaded fits over the lens. This will go on my electric scooter. [/UPDATE]Recently picked up a couple electric scooters and the wife and I plan to get the trails if summer ever comes. Wanted to take the GoPro with to capture our adventures. While we have helmets and pads, I thought it might be good to have some kind of protection for the camera, in case I take a spill. This was hopefully the solution.First off, I have to admit, part of the reason I got this is because it just looks so cool. Makes your camera looking so cool, like an even higher end setup. Do we call this vanity? But it does make it look so nice. I also got it so I could add filters. My K&F filter screws right on and functions perfectly.Sadly there are NO instructions. Yes, it's a pretty simple product and easy to figure out, but least show your buyers you care by providing instructions. Right away I noticed it is a tight fit. That is good thing, so the camera is not tossed around within the enclosure. But my concern it, I'll scratch my camera taking it in and out of this unit and there is no padding inside to keep this from happening. No scratches yet, but it's a concern.You just slide up a back part, insert your camera and slide the door back in place. Simple enough. Although, there is nothing to hold the door in place, nothing to lock it in. It does slide down, so can't see it coming up and out, but another concern. Just being detailed.Once the camera is in, it does look just great, so high tech. The enclosure is very heavy duty, so I cam sure it will provide all the protection I need. Everything is easily accessible, the power buttons and battery door. So you don't need to take anything apart to use your camera. Best yet, it comes with a lens cover, that is awesome.The other big reason I got this is because it comes with a 1/4" mount hole on the bottom, so easy to mount where you want. There are also cold shoe mounts for lights or mics. Very versatile.Overall, it's a very heavy duty and robust enclosure. I love it. Would gladly recommend!

Took me a few minutes To adjust to the new size and weight of my go pro camera with case on But after a few minutes I really started to like this case and got use to the size and weight, it is very well built ..looks like it could stand and protect the camera from a drop and take a beaten . lens on case will also protect. Camera lens. From damage Even has lock washers when you bolt on the bottom mount. So bolts stay tight .Seems no details left out in design a job well done ..my go pro fits very snug in case ..The Case with open areas lets the camera breathe and help it to not overheat .you can also open the side door of camera to charge the battery Or remove card with out having to remove camera from case .. so I will never remove camera from case or handle the camera . And that will protect my camera . From the day to day handling's and that will keep camera in like new condition ..just like your phone case you go pro needs a good case to keep it in like new condition..I would rebuy and recommend this case to GoPro uses …

Really great cage and protects the go pro very well

This little metal box is like a beast. Once I figured how to unlock it I got my camera out. And back in smoothly. Heavy, won't balance in my DJI phone gimbal, but then there's no adapter that will. Ready tripod plate mount, portable mini tripod fine. Easy access to doors and screens, then a few wide angle shots pick up the inside walls they are so wide. Know your settings for your equipment and this will help you go beyond snapshot and just backyard video.Add a lanyard and your pretty 360 damage protected. Working to add peripheral attachment lights mics a cage and the like, to get the full, real GoPro shot. Save?

I really liked this cage. It was very snug fitting and durable. It offered great protection for my GoPro. I had two issues neither was a deal breaker. One, the 52mm glass filter holder does exactly what it’s supposed to do, but I found that it threw off the balance of the GoPro. It also gave the GoPro a larger form factor, which was an issue from time to time when using, or storing, in a very small space. Secondly I use an off brand door that allows a usbc to plug into the GoPro. This door makes the GoPro not fit when trying to put it into the cage. Certainly not the fault of the cage, but it made it more challenging for my uses. So it’s something to be aware of for other users. That being said, the quality and workmanship of this product is wonderful and I recommend it.

It fits the Hero 12 well. It provides protection against drops and falls. We use this in conjunction with fence mount to record softball and tennis games. It helps protect the gopro would it ever fall from the fence.If you need to charge your gopro while in use, a different door can be purchased separately

The media could not be loaded. I feel like I could use my GoPro as a weapon with this case on.I use my hero11 for tight single-track dirt bike riding so I wanted something that'd protect it if it came flying off in the woods and this case will protect my camera from anything but water. The camera fits snug in the case so there’s no rattling. Really nice quality all around.01/10/2024 EDIT: I changed from a 5-star to 3-star review because after using this set up once I cannot get my GoPro Hero 11 out of the case. It's really stuck in there and I'm trying to remove it so I can put a waterproof case on, and it's being a big pain in the butt. The only point of contact to push the GoPro out is the front LCD screen and I'm really afraid of cracking the screen with how much pressure I'm applying (and it's still stuck). If the case is going to be this snug they need to have a better way of getting the GoPro out.

This is exactly what I hoped it to be, a cover/frame protector for my GoPro Hero 12. Easy to attach and it comes with additional attachment tools for other peripheral devices like a hand stick. I thought the price to be a bargain ‘cause it came with a UV filter. Other filters work on it as well.
