Teammates Matter Fighting for Something Greater than Self

Who's fault?
I recently purchased two separate books written by Alan Williams. One was "Teammates Matter" and according to the promo on Amazon it was to be about Jim Valvano and the establishment of the V Foundation. This is not true. It is a good book but is NOT about Jim Valvano at all. I then purchased a second book entitled "Walk-On" by Alan Williams. They are essentially the exact same books. I am disappointed with the appearance on Amazon that they are different books. Buyer be ware. You do not want both books in my opinion.

A great book that all who have played competitive sports will enjoy!
I love true stories that inspire, and Teamates Matter definitely fits both of these traits. Williams has a great story and is a great writer. The book is a summary of his playing days as a walk-on basketball player at Wake Forest during some of Wake's glory basketball years. It is an easy read and hard to put down. You come away feeling like you truly understand what he went through, and it is a great story of perseverance and realizing that much good can result from circumstances that many consider to be bad.

Great book for developing both leaders and followers
Excellent book. I'm a coach and I make my captains read it at the beginning of each season. So much to learn from Alan's life.
