Elite MontessoriCoin Box with Thicker Coins

We just received this today and so far it's been a hit. My almost two years old easily knows to put the coins in the slot and pull the drawer out but find the dumping of the coins and re-installing the drawer to be a challenge which is great. She enjoys doing the part that comes easily to her and seems engaged and challenged to complete the steps which aren't easy yet. We also have a younger friend who is at our house regularly whom I think will enjoy learning to put the coins through the slot. I was super pleased with the strudiness and size of the toy. I'd love it if there was an option to buy additional coins. I know I can find other similar things that will work but I like the vibrant blue and the chunkiness of the coins it came with which are easy to grasp for small hands.

Another great Montessori work for young toddlers. My son received this for his first birthday and was instantly drawn to it. He absolutely loves opening the drawer and dumping the coins out and then putting the coins back into the drawer. He's definitely in the dump and fill stage of development! He doesn't quite have the dexterity to put the coins through the slot at the top, but he's getting there! I would say that this is a great work for 12-18 months. The coins are the perfect size for little hands. They are also not too small for little mouths. The wood is sanded very well and the colors are very vibrant. Great activity that came well packaged and on time! Love this!

As a pediatric occupational therapist with over 40 years of experience, I highly recommend this Montessori tool for teaching. A. Fine motor skill of 3-point grasp (thumb, index and middle fingers), 2-point pinch pattern ( superior or inferior pincer pattern) between thumb and index fingers, separation between the thumb side and little finger sides of the hands to achieve stability on the little finger sides of the hand to enable precision movements with the thimb side of the hand. B. 2-3 step sequencing in cognitive problem-solving development, C. Cognitive cause-effect D. Motor planning E. Visual- motor skills (hand- eye coordination). Its brill8ant, fun and highly motivating to toddlers, pre-schoolers or to those kiddos with delays in their development. It works well for home, classroom, and clinic settings. My granddaughter loves it.

Absolutely love this toy I wanted to go for the Montessori toys and this hits the mark 100%. My son figured it out very quickly loves to play with it all the time He's even chewed on the coins and they're big enough to where he cannot choke on them which I made sure before leaving him alone with these or any other toys. Even with chewing on the coins they seem to be holding up very well and the paint does not seem to be coming off definitely recommend this.

My girls love this they were 9 months and 2 years when I purchased and now they are 1 year and 26 months still love it are very entertained with it. It teaches the motor skill to turn the wrist and my 1 year old is still using this and is challenged by it. My 2 year old just likes putting coins in lol but it is a great learning toy I would love to fill my home with these kinds of toys vs the light and noise electronics the family gets for them. This toy has kept them entertained longer than any of those toys at a single sitting. I would get it again!

Our 10-month old loves this -- she is only just now starting to play with putting the coin into the slot, but before that she was very into opening the drawer and pulling the coins out to play with them. You can also hide other toys in the drawer with them as "surprises"... she loved to check to see what might be in there. And just to be able to open and close it, pull it out and dump it out etc. Great for introducing after they have gotten good at the object permanence box (which she still loves). Both are great for problem solving and creativity. It's really fascinating to see how she uses/tries to use these.

Took a star off because the drawer comes out. Toddlers like to play with things roughly so it would encourage gentler play if it stayed in. But a perfect and well made toy otherwise. It’s easy enough to add a stopper myself.

Based on the other reviews I was worried that this might not be a high quality product but I wanted to give it a try anyways. I'm glad I did. It looks great to me! My daughter is a little on the older side for this, she just turned 1 year old, but she loves it! She was able to put the coins in the slot after only two tries. I'm happy with this and it will last well for my next child. Also, based on the picture I thought that the knob for them to pull would be very small and maybe even hard to open the drawer with... but it looks like a standard drawer pull. I am very happy with my purchase.
