It's a personal choice of course
First off - I have not bought these strings from Amazon; a friend brought them back from the USA for me as they are cheaper over there. I have used these strings for years and wouldn't use any others. They go from bright to mellow and stay that way, it seems, for months but it all depends on how much you play of course. The other thing I really like is that they are so stable and don't go out of tune easily. Perhaps I should try some other strings to remind myself how good the D'addario are, but if it ain't bust why fix it, so I'll stick with them.
