Overall well designed weather station
its amazing to me how this really small device packs four accurate sensors in such a compact package. I recently used this unit to get quick weather info on the beach at Hilton Head and it proved precise and quite responsive and its readings matched those of a dedicated wind meter. The barometer adjusts to GPS derived elevation which is nice, and the hygrometer is accurate as compared to a calibrated stationary unit. Some minor design issues include the protective case which fits so tightly as to require undo force to remove .. (I actually felt that pulling it out of the case might damage it so I keep it out and store it instead in a small foam lined tin case that a thumb drive came in)Another issue which is shared with other phone based thermometers ( such as the Thermodo) is the tendency to inflate temperature readings due to conduction of device heat. With no air movement the temperature reading is about 2° higher than ambient. Interestingly this error disappears in modest wind conditions likely due to convective cooling.Overall, however, I'm quite pleased with the performance .

The Windoo has many sensors in a tiny package. ...
The Windoo has many sensors in a tiny package. The only real problem is that I could never get it to read close to the actual temperature. It was always 10-20 degrees higher than any other source. It would read in the 80's when it was still too chilly to take a light jacket off. It did this in two different iphones and an android phone. It's possible it was a series 3 and perhaps the series 4 has corrected this problem, but I sent it back for a refund when I found another competing sensor that achieved the same requirements for less money.

Not with Droid
Update Sept. 2017. CAUTION! The Windoo devices do not work correctly on the Droid cell phones up through Android 7.7.1 OS.I have communicated with the manufacturer, and it is obvious that they do not care to make it compatible. This is a shame, since it does work well with Samsung phones, which are inferior to the Droid.Ian Hollingsworth

Compatibility Issue - Resolved
This is an incredible device. However a word of caution is in order. The Windoo3 series 4 model is compatible with iPhone 6 & 6+ but Windoo3 series 3 is not. Prior to ordering the latter from a supplier, I contacted the manufacturer. Their personnel advised me that the compatibility problem had been corrected. After finding that it had not (it wouldn't calibrate and displayed incorrect information) I re-contacted the Switzerland-based company. Per their instructions, I shipped the series 3 device to them and in short order they shipped me a series 4 model. As soon as I plugged it in, It worked flawlessly with the Apple app, "Windoo."Kudos go to Nathalie and the other fine people at JDC Electronic SA for their superb support, commendible honesty and impressive product.

Also the anemometer (rotating piece to pick up wind) was NEVER on its axis and is therefore useless. I was going to send it back
The cover fits WAY too tight to where its totally unusable to cover the device and protect it.Also the anemometer (rotating piece to pick up wind) was NEVER on its axis and is therefore useless. I was going to send it back, but thought I could fix the anemometer issue but its now totally FUBAR...opps!Out and about of course you need WiFi to post any reading. If camping, forget it.The Windoo 3 certainly has potential but what I got was very disappointing quality.
