Barley Seed 5 Lb - Sprouting

We constructed grazing boxes for our chickens on Saturday and today is Thursday....the grass is already 3" tall. I am amazed at the germination/growth rate of this product! I will definitely buy it again.

Bought these to sprout and feed to my chickens. They love the treat during the winter. They sprout well.

Followed the directions and seeds never sprouted. Wheatgrass grown right next to the barley grew fantastic. Barley seeds never sprouted

Hi, While I don't have the greenest thumb in the world, I have had lots of luck with micro-greens. I bought these seeds to start a fodder system for my rabbits. I've tried 4 different growing methods now and I'm getting horrible germination rates. I tried seeds pressed into soil, seeds covered lightly by soil, a hydroponic medium-less method and a hydroponic on baby blanket method. Each 10 x 20 tray has been lucky to see 10 seeds pop. I do the overnight pre-soak as suggested by most. I have a 5th tray going on 4 days now with no soak to see what happens and nothing has popped. I've never seen such poor germination rates. Just wasted money when my purpose was to save on feed.
