I have kitchen scales, so I certainly didn’t need the Subscale. But what a pleasure it is to use! It turns out that simplifying tasks before I’ve had my morning coffee is a very good thing. Perfectly sized and pleasantly smooth to the touch; easy to read; and a battery charge lasts for weeks.

Do you need this fancy scale? Probably not, but it's super cool and works great.

Great little scale, fun and surprisingly useful. I’ve had some time to use this scale and wanted to give an honest take. This is one of those tools you do not really need, but once you have it, it is actually very fun to use. I’ve been enjoying it a lot. I would not use this for espresso or hot drinks directly since it is plastic, but for general weighing and dosing it works really well. Pros Very fun to use Lightweight and easy to use Very readable display Battery lasts a long time Holds calibration really well once set Cons I did have to buy calibration weights separately to dial it in properly, which adds a little extra cost The scale does not really start registering until around 0.5 to 1 gram. If you are doing very small adjustments under about 0.5g, you will still need a more sensitive scale for that Once it does start reading though, it becomes very sensitive and accurate in 0.1 gram increments, especially when using the dosing cup. Once calibrated, it also holds that calibration really well. I’m probably around 100 doses in and it is still staying consistent. Overall I would recommend it as a secondary scale. It is simple, reliable, and fun to use, just not the right tool for those very small adjustments. If I could rate it 4.5 stars I would.

I debated whether to buy the Subminamal dosing/scale cup since it was 2-3 times the cost of a simple scale. But, its coolness factor won me over. It's super easy to use and seems pretty accurate. And it looks awesome on my coffee bar. I like that you just have to brush your finger across the switch to turn it on.

Was hesitant at first, as I thought this was gimmicky, but I’ve grown to love it and saves me crucial time (lol a few seconds) to get my coffee sorted out in the morning. But I really do like this and use it exclusively for weighing out my coffee beans each morning. I have stretched it to weigh out 60 g of beans for 1 L of coffee a few times.

We love this scale! It was a little pricey but worth it! It’s easy to clean and it functions well! I can’t remember if there were other colors but we just chose black. If there was white I would’ve chose that but my husband placed the order haha. If you have the extra money to spend, it’s totally worth it. And it’s always accurate.

Balance très précise et affichage exceptionnel

A well made and accurate scale that simplifies my coffee brewing by weighing the beans, I then use a separate scale to check retention from the grinder and then move the second scale to measure output from the portafilter, all steps were previously done with one set of scales, now it is much easier. A nice addition to my coffee kit, certainly not essential but nice to have.
