Best 1K Bread Machine
I have had a few Bread Machines and this one is by far the best! I bake a loaf every few days. This one cooks an even loaf shaped bread in a ceramic pan, no Teflon. It kneads twice and rises thrice on the Wholemeal setting. It has 17 options; like cake, dough, bake only etc without being over the top and complicated. Comes with a spare paddle/nurdle and a free Oven Mitt that is a very usable size, not too large or thick. It dispels condensation during the 2nd rise; the Window becomes clear again and, it looks great! Not at all oversized, only the pan is large. I LOVE IT! I think you will too. I use 500grams wholemeal flour on the 1K setting, perfect! Happy to recommend!

Good For Sourdough Bread
I purchased this breadmaker for the Sourdough Bread setting. This machine puts sourdough bread within everyone's reach - as it's often too difficult to make by hand and people can't be bothered. However, all you need to make delicious sourdough bread in this machine is:1 cup sourdough starter3.5 cups flour1 cup of water1.5 teaspoons of saltI do not put this mixture directly into the machine, because you will always need to slightly adjust the water and/or flour to get the dough consistency right. It's always that way with sourdough bread, so I mix it in a bowl. Then, I toss the whole mixture into the breadmaker and get on with my day. The sourdough setting is about 6.5 hours - but the machine is not constantly kneading the dough that whole time. It kneads, rests, kneads, rests -- just like you would need to do by hand. And this functionaltity -- the automating this process -- is what makes it worth every penny. The end result is an absolutely beautiful loaf of sourdough bread and its beautiful smell filling the kitchen.*** Once a ball forms and starts rotating, add olive oil to stop it sticking and to help it roll around better. ***THE DOWNSIDE:1. You are going to hit the start button on accident. It's just not placed in the ideal location. And when you hit it, you're going to lose your mind trying to make it stop. Even if you unplug the machine, and plug it back in, it doesn't reset. It just goes right back into whatever setting it was at before. That is because this machine has a 15-minute power-guard that lets your resume where you left off in case of a power outage. The good news is all you need to do is HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL IT BEEPS AND SHUTS OFF THE MACHINE (about 3 seconds).2. The basket is slightly smaller than other baskets I have with other machines. My old machine can hold 2 litres of milk when I make yogurt. This machine holds less than that. It's not a big deal, but we have decided to keep our old machine just because we can make a large volume of yogurt in one go. Some people won't care about this at all.3. The LED screen goes dark after a few minutes. You can still slightly see the timer counting down, but it's not in bright blue and easy to see. It's not that big of a deal, but the first time it went dark I thought the machine had shut down or lost power. So I hit the power button, and that put it on pause. But, thanks to the power-guard, when I hit the button again, it picked up where it left off.4. We wanted a ceramic pot because we care about our health. However, the nut dispenser is made of plastic. It went straight into the bin. Honestly, you don't need it. It's not hard to lift the lid and throw nuts and berries into the machine if you want to.

A very good bread maker... so long as you ignore the manual!!
I've had quite a few bread makers over the years. And this is as good as any of them... in some ways better. The good bits:It's very simple to use. It looks good. I love the ceramic pan. It's easy to clean. It's got a good loud buzzer. It makes good bread. It comes with a spare paddle. The OK bits:It's a generic Chinese brand and can be found under various model names. It looks like spare pans and paddles are available and I THINK it's a Kitfort Kt304 model, although the label says MBF010. If the Kt304 pans are compatible, the pan prices vary but all are way under the cost of replacing a pan on one of the major brands (e.g. Panasonic pans are typically £99!)The not so good bits:It's very easy to accidentally hit the start button when fiddling with the menu settings. It would be better if you had to press and hold the button to start it.The basic bread recipe cooks a bit on the light side, even on the darkest setting. But you can get around this by using the French or Whole Wheat Bread settings, which have a very similar program but cook for 8-10 mins longer. There's no way of programming in your own settings or adjusting the presets. The manual... where do I start?!!! The manual is appalling! Written in very basic Chinglish, full of spelling mistakes and unreadable grammar. And for using the machine it's totally pointless - it's easy enough to figure out how to use the machine without the manual. But the one thing that is going to put people off bread makers, and I've seen this with every bread maker I've owned, is the basic recipes.First of all, this manual doesn't actually have any recipes, except for what they call a "Common formula for Western style bread" and lists flour, milk, eggs, sugar, yeast and butter!! NO!... unless possibly if you're in America, THIS IS NOT A RECIPE FOR WESTERN STYLE BREAD, IT'S A RECIPE FOR CAKE!!! Anyone in the UK or Europe would be far more likely to use Water, Flour, Oil, Sugar, salt and yeast. When will bread maker manufacturers realise this and start producing manuals for the European market?!The fact that the manual is SO bad is the only reason I've knocked off a star. other than that this is a good machine, at a good price, which is capable of making good bread... if you ignore the diabolical manual.

Great bread machine
Delighted with this bread machine. It has a great choice of programmes and works really well. The manual could do with perfecting; the English isn’t the best. Nevertheless, for anyone who has already used a bread maker (or followed translated instructions) it’s OK once you get the hang of it.But the machine itself is wonderful and my sourdough bread is now all home made.

Fine for gluten free
Works fine. Instructions are basic. Bread slips out of the ceramic pan easily. Photos show gluten free seeded loaf and a fruit and nut loaf. Seeded bread cooked on the Express setting, fruit and nut on the gluten free setting. Both fine.

Disappointed
I'm sure the machine works well if you can negotiate your way around the instructions. All weights are in grams on the machine whereas in the recipes they are in lbs. There are so many typing errors in the instructions and the grammar is clearly written and checked by someone whose first language is not English. Very disappointed.
