I've seen less squirrels and chipmunks which I thought was a good thing... turns out I came home from travelling this weekend and my tomato plants have been ravaged again : (Agree with the other reviews that the sensors don't work unless your 6 inches away from them.. I did just as the instructions said and put it 5 feet up (I even built a post just for this) and when I first put it up, it hooted non-stop (no motion) for almost 30 minutes straight. I have rechargeable batteries in so I changed them out just in case they had gone bad but still the same thing.Don't waste you time with this product.

I bought this decoy owl to deter birds from hanging out near my car parked in my driveway. It’s not hard to guess the reason. This decoy is well made and the blinking eyes and hooting noise it makes when the motion detection is triggered scares the birds away. I am happy and so is the paint on my car.

I got this in hopes of protecting my ducks from hawks that i have been seeing lately around my yard scoping them out. This owl is light weight and seems very cheap, but at the same time looks pretty real from a far. The motion sensor which sets of the owl hooting noise and light up eyes, doesn't work very well. you have to literally be right up to it to set it off, and sometimes doesn't even go off unless i pick it up and shake it lol.. but it does look real from a far, so its a good decoy for hawk protection.

Motion sensor randomly works. I can be right in front of it and nothing, but then I'll be on the ground floor of the barn (this is about 20ft in the air almost at the rafters) and I'll set it off from there. Also it didnt scare anything, I've literally seen birds land right next to it and didnt keep them out of my barn at all, they nested about 10' away from this "scare owl"

Product was exactly as described. It’s effectiveness has yet to be determined; however, our bird in treehouse problem has been at least temporarily stalled.

Useless. Waste my money. If you reading this don’t even think to buy it.

He guarded our apple tree from the birds and did a good job for the one week that we were using him. At the end of that week we took all the apples off the rest of the apples off the tree!

This owl didn’t work as well as I thought it would, especially since it has three motion detectors on it. I have another owl with only the one motion detector on it, and it works better.
