Ed Emberley's Big Orange Drawing Book Paperback – January 1, 1980

This book is from a series of 4 books from Emberly are the easiest books on drawing there are, period. Anyone young or old can learn to draw some great critters and vehicles from these books. ANYONE! These are a great first step. All of his Big Color books are great, (They are a series, each named after a color). Famous for the easy way it shows you how to draw step by step, what appears to be a complex Haunted House, but it is simple when you do it his way. This book includes a number of fun ideas including robots, tiger, military ships, Halloween holiday drawings, and more. He even shows you how to make yours unique rather than a copy of his drawings. You can be the doodle hero of your classroom or office after using this book. He does it simply using very simple steps, lines, and basic shapes to start you off. My favorite in the series would be the Purple Book, because I am partial to the pirate ship instructions.If you want to move up from here and learn the terminology of what you are doing, and really become an accomplished artist, the next step after these are the terrific books by "Jack Hamm".If you just want to have some fun, get this book!

I grew up with this book and it has everything you want from an art book for people who don't necessarily know how to draw. A good book for people who like the color orange!

I bought this book for my daughter who wants to learn how to draw more things, but I also love it. It's great for doodling little pictures on the notes I leave her. And we have fun together drawing all kinds of pictures. Great book for kids or anyone who wants to learn to draw in such an easy way. Highly recommend !

It was very difficult to find a decent copy of this book, but this seller had it and it is in excellent condition.Ed Emberly really simplified drawing and I am so happy to have it.

the books is great and it allows people of all ages to draw a picture without any effort. It helps everyone feel successful when creating a picture. This is a great book for teachers in class when they want a fun activity for the students. These books are a wonderful way to learn to express yourself.

Ed Emberley is just fantastic. I had only one or two of his books as a child (30-ish years ago) and once I found out there were more, I bought everyone I could find. My girls really enjoy them (now almost teens). The step by step approach to taking shapes they're familiar with and putting them together to make such cute drawings helps them to branch out into drawings of their own. We leave notes for each other and put something we learned to draw from EE's books on the note - brightens everyone's day!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the entire Ed Emberly drawing series. The books make it easy for beginners of all ages to have fun with art- and I’m excited to pass them along to the children I love.

Le livre en lui même est super : un classique à avoir chez soi ! Il complete agréablement la collection des "Big Drawing Books" d'Ed Emberley. Celui ci reprend le thème de la couleur orange : chiens, tigres, fruits ; celui d'halloween (très complet) et complète la série des extra-terrestres présentés dans les autres tomes.Un petit bémol sur la qualité du livre reçu : puisqu'il est introuvable, j'ai choisi d'acheter un livre d'occasion. Il était annoncé comme "bon" mais c'est loin d'être le cas, on sent qu'il a été aimé et lu par beaucoup de petites mains et certains ont même ajouté leur marque par ci par là... rien de grave : le livre est entier et exploitable mais le prix reste élevé par rapport à la qualité de l'exemplaire.Si mon commentaire vous a été utile pour votre achat, n'hésitez pas à me le dire : c'est agréable de se savoir lu !
