I bought this album to try and familiarize myself with some of the other songs Demi has written. Give Your Heart a Break just struck me as simple and direct question about letting someone in to really love you. Hearing that song during a pretty rough time in my life made it so much more impactful after discovering that she really champions self-worth, self acceptance in everything she does. Her freedom of expression is a welcome authenticity in a world riddled with people setting limits on who we are and what we can be.
