Stands up to the Arizona heat.
Well, I’m not one typically do a review. But the complexity of this one struck a cord with me. My first hesitation was in regards to wondering if it would just melt off in our AZ heat. Saw another review that said it would not. I totally agree. It stayed put and did not get fazed by our summer heat one bit. I was so happy with results of the first tube that I ordered another one but was still a bit short even after 2. The birds were gone instantly. It was amazing. My cars were getting assaulted by the birds. Like beyond belief. It was easy to install, not visually offensive. But then about the time the 3rd tube showed up, so did the monsoons. Here is where I lost a bit of my excitement. The leaves and sticks dropping from the tree in the storms would land in the gel and then fall further onto our cars. So about 3-4 weeks in and I was totally regretting my decision. I hesitated to use the 3rd one I ordered. Birds were gone, but now I had the most sticky gel spots, all over my cars. At this point I totally regretted putting this up. A few more weeks passed and I started to get a little bit of bird droppings again in one spot. I ventured up into the tree to find one area I didn’t get very well. I also noticed that most of the gel had a nice coating of very small debris, bugs and other fun stuff. I had also noticed the amount of gel hitting the cars had slowed way down as well. So I decided to go ahead and use the 3 tube on the spot I missed, and the other areas I hadn’t done. That was about 3 weeks or so ago. Still not getting much at all of the gel coated leaves and sticks coming down. At this point I’m torn, I don’t know if I would go this route or try using the spikes. The other down fall is as the branches grow down they blow and get into the gel also, so then when I trim anything in that area, I’m getting to a bit of a sticky mess. I don’t really regret it at this point. But the ease of install up front, kind of lost its shine by the mess after. I think this stuff is awesome and definitely works if you know what your in for.Pros:Easy to use.Works great at keeping the birds away. Not visibly noticeable.Cons:Sticky is an understatement. It’s a mess if you touch it or gets on what you don’t want it on. Once it’s installed, it’s a (near impossible) mess to remove. It does not go very far. My larger tree branch’s needed multiple beads. 10’ then turns in 5’ or even into 2.5’ on the really thick areas.Trimming the tree and regrowth into the gelled areas is a mess.

PRAISE GOD! BETTER THAN DESCRIBED! WORKS WONDERS!
AMAAAAAZIIIINGGG!!PRAISE GOD!HAD I KNOWN ABOUT THIS MIRACULOUS SOLUTION LONG AGO I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED IT!! I WAS A BIT SKEPTICAL EVEN A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN I FIRST HEARD OF IT.IT'S A WONDERFUL PRODUCT!SO FAR IT HAS WORKED GREAT!LET'S SEE HOW LONG IT LASTS!I PUT IT ON YESTERDAY SOON AFTER I RECEIVED MY PACKAGE.I WAS UNAWARE THAT A GLUE-GUN WAS REQUIRED, SO I LITERALLY CUT THE TUBE ON TOP (GEL WAS MUCH TOO THICK TO USE THROUGH THE OPEN CAP/PLASTIC LID) AND USED A TABLE KNIFE TO SPREAD THAT WONDERFUL EXTREMELY STICKY GEL ALL OVER THE HAND-RAILS AND AN IRON WINDOW COVER (ALL ON THE EXTERIOR OF THIS 3RD FLOOR APARTMENT) WHERE THE PIGEONS ARE VISIBLY SEEN ALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY (IN FRONT OF AN ABANDONED APARTMENT NEXT TO WHERE I CURRENTLY LIVE/RENT AN APARTMENT) AND THEY COO ALL DAY LONG (VERY NOISY LOUD DISTRAUGHT COOS)!!!TODAY I HEARD THEM AROUND, POSSIBLY INSIDE THE ABANDONED APARTMENT AS I HEARD THEM BEHIND THE DIVIDING WALL AND-OR POSSIBLY FROM ATOP OF THE ROOF TOP AS WELL (WHERE RECENTLY THEY'VE BEEN SEEN ON TOP OF THE ROOF), BUT NO LONGER WHERE I PUT THAT GEL (PIGEON NOISE IS NOT COMING FROM THAT EXTERIOR AREA)!!I WOULD FOR SURE BUY IT AGAIN!TO OTHER BUYERS OF THIS GEL (Pigeon Repellent) I RECOMMEND WEARING GLOVES WHEN USING/PLACING THE GEL, AS I DID NOT WEAR GLOVES WHILE PUTTING IT ON, SO THE GEL WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM MY HANDS AFTER I WAS FINISHED (SOAP AND WATER WAS NOT SUFFICIENT) - I HAD TO USE A BIT OF ACETONE AND HAIR-SHINE-OIL (I THREW AWAY THE TABLE KNIFE AS I EXPECTED I WOULD ANYWAY, DUE TO SANITARY CONCERNS).THANK YOU VERY MUCH!PACKAGING & SHIPPING, ALL GOOD, IT WAS PERFECT!!

Works, but not sure how long lasting it is
When first applied, birds didn't flock on our railings. It's been about a month (maybe less?) and birds have started landing on the railing without being bothered. That being said, I'm not sure if "long lasting" means a few weeks and then you have to reapply - which is still better than nothing.Don't be like me and forgot that you have sticky goo on the railings. The stuff is VERY sticky and hard to come off even with soap (I didn't try warm/hot water so maybe that would have helped).

Effective
Works well. Had a bird that nested under n a space between the soffit and a powered patio canopy and would leave droppings on the deck. No more bird after using this.

Works temporarily - Starlings just cover it and carry on
I had written a 5 star review of this stuff. Granted, it worked for like 3 days until these stupid starlings that are pooping all over my porch, roof, yard, etc... Covered it all in twigs and such and now just ignore it.Very temporary solution for these annoying poop monsters! It isn't as easy to apply as described either. I've got it in a chalk gun and it comes out very slow and takes quite a bit of effort to get it out. I had been using it on some eaves that these evil little flying rats are trying to nest under.Bird blocker spikes - failShiny bird distracters - failGoopy gel glue like substance - fail (but it sure does stick all over my hands and gloves!)Large river rocks and steel mesh - fail (They force the rocks out of the way and pull the mesh up)Stray cats - fail (poor cats get attacked by these birds)If you are lucky and get this stuff up before Starlings commit to a roosting location it might be effective, but I've been fighting 3 pairs of these demon birds for 2 months and have even destroyed 2 nests. The persistence of these things is astounding.

Best Product Ever
After several months of being frustrated by house sparrows wanting to build their nest between my retractable awing and the house and trying everything from balloons to reflective tape with nothing working, I decided to try this product. NO MORE BIRDS trying to build. Buy it.
