Not sure I would call these "chips". They are much smaller than any smoking chips I've used. Slightly bigger than sawdust. Using mesquite, the meat had a somewhat bitter flavor.

Really strong smoke. Doesn't take much smoke to get the mesquite flavor. There is bark in the bag, which gives a bitter flavor. I've cut my own mesquite, with no bark, and the flavor is much milder than these chips.Use sparingly.

They work just like any wood chips, nothing super special.

This product works perfectly in my new Electric smoker. These use small chips and this product comes in very small shavings. Perfect for the electric smoker

If you are cooking for about 200 people, you are good to go. You have to use a little bit of this at a time or your food will be crap. Adler is the best for all kinds of fish and meats.
