PURE Sucralose Powder NO Maltodextrin to cause digestive upset - Great Bargain compared to Splenda! We are repeat buyers!
UPDATED 2/12/13: Daverat's Wife speaking: (please be kind RE Typos, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis) I have ordered this in differing sizes and went for the biggest one this time since it should last all year long. It comes in a self-sealing silver, light impermeable bag that seales closed very well like a Ziploc bag only better. To open the bag you first have to tear off the sealed end to get to the zipper seal. When you DO open it, take care that you don't inhale! This stuff is SO pure and SO SWEET you will taste it if any of the powder gets in the air and you happen to breathe it in. I mix it in a a small glass I have that has a spouted end but is clear. You can mix this to be highly concentrated if you prefer it that way or as light as you want. When you make it highly concentrated, it becomes like syrup once it's been completely combined and the liquid is no longer cloudy. I find that I have to let the liquid sit and stir it up again every 15 minutes or so when making a very thick liquid. it takes time for the powder to become fully incorporated into the filtered water I use. Once the liquid has no powder at the bottom of the glass and looks clear but thick, I pour it into a sterlized dropper bottle for use. I store it at room temperature in sterilized dark glass dropper bottles just in case light might effect the solution. The eye droppers themsleves are made of plastic and so those have to be taken apart and cleaned well, piece by piece, after all the liquid is used. The bottles just have to be rinsed in boiling water after each use. I find I like mixing my liquid strong and thick so that a single drop or two can sweeten an entire recipe.I mix about a rounded teaspoon per 1 scant ounce of water and make 3 bottles at a time. ( that means I use a rounded tablespoon and pour slightly less than 3 ounces of water into my mixing glass, mix until fully clear then pour into 3 dropper bottles) My husband uses between 6 and 8 drops to sweeten an entire pitcher of strong black iced tea. I find I need about 1 scant dropper full to help flavor an entire a quart of homemmade greek yogurt but only because I flavor it with lemon juice which is my preferred flavor of yogurt. Greek Ygurt is tangy since it is "cooked" longer and the added lemon juice makes the yogurt more sour than usual. if I was making thinner yogurt and flavoring with pure vaniulla, I'd need maybe half a dropper or less. Before we began using this, we were paying about $6 a bag for Splenda granualated and it took at least an 1/8 of a cup to sweeten my husband's pitcher of tea each day and I simply couldn't touch the Splenda due to all the added maltodextrin they use in all their granulated Splenda now. Maltodextrin is an undigestible fiber that causes abdominal pain, gas and bowel ireggularity in sensitive people. Hard Rhino Sucralose powder has caused NO such problems for me. and has allowed me to enjoy sweetened drinks again without the issues that Nutrasweet is suspected of causing (joint pain & inlfammation, headaches and others), It may seem like a big layout of cash NOW but to pay $60 now or $6 every 8 to 10 weeks for Splenda when this bag should last us most of the year makes this the far better buy. This amount of Pure Sucralose, should by my estimate, last us a minimum of 8 months and maybe even a full year if stored properly. We may need more if we begin to use this in place of sugar in baking and other cooking but even so, it is still going to last far long than 10 bags of Splenda would. If you go to Hard Rhino's site they have a table about how much powder equals how much white sugar in sweeteness. YOu'll be shocked at the comparison between their pure product and Splenda's granulated product. It becomes apparent rather quickly that you are paying mostly for national ad campaigns, colorful bags and lots and lots of maltodextrin when you buy Splenda versus the pure, unadulterated Sucralose you get with hard Rhino. Even the taste is better. We are so glad we found this product. and we HAVE BEGUN using it in baking and have been very pleased with the results. Our primary uses are for sweetening cold drinks, hot drinks, homemade yogurt in bulk and in baking when we can easily make the substitution. SOme things, you just can't make the switch but if it is only to sweeten and not to add texture, color or to chemically combine to form candies, fudges or caramels, this does the trick. Even the tiniest amount substituted for sugar in salad dressing can help a diabetic enjoy the same foods as everyone else.Hard Rhino makes storage of their product easy by using a silver mylar type of bag that is impervious to light & moisture. Sucralose is "Shelf Stable" at normal temperatures unlike Nutrasweet, which breaks down over time and loses it's sweetness. In fact, just as you can with Splenda, you can cook with Sucralose. You will need to go to the Hard Rhino site for the precise measurement conversion tables. No, this is a much wiser spending choice than buying splenda by the bag when most of what you are paying for is undigestable fiber that has a laxative effect for people who have a sensitivity to matltodetxrin. Maltodextrin is a largely undigestible carbohydrate that helps make Splenda look & feel granulated, adds bulk to their product so it measure cup for cup like sugar but is often one of those food additives that people with irritible Bowel Syndrome, Crohn's Disease and other digestive disorders try to avoid since it gives them painful abdominal cramps, gas and worse. Pure Suraclose has none of those issues for most people. Hard Rhino's powder lets you mix up just what you need, when you need it. Just remember that this stuff is 600 times sweeter than sugar and that if you use too much, the taste won't be sweet so much as bitter. Less is better in the beginning until you get used to just how sweet this stuff truly can be!One last thing, as with all artificial sweeteners, use in moderation. We only use it in a few things we cannot reasonably sweeten with natural maple syrup. We also do NOT feed sucralose to children although there is no study that says you can't. It's simply our choice. As far as all the Sugar alternatives go, Sucralose in its purest form such as this, has the best press and is better for you than sugar alcohols, such as Maltitol , which has been the last huge "thing" in low cal sweeteners. Those things also have laxative effects and dieticians say they provoke an insulin response almost as strong as sugar itself. If you are looking for a cheaper alterntaive to Splenda or one that doesn't have all that added maltodextin that didn't used to be a part of rgular Splenda but is now part of every version of it they sell, try Hard Rhino's PURE Surcalose powder.Me, I really like this easy to use, PURE form of Sucralose without any of the nasty Maltodextrin. I like having the freedom to mix the strength I prefer and I am LOVING the savings over those big bags of Splenda. Try the smaller package FIRST if you aren't sure but do try this. It's so delightfully different than Splenda ! The batch number is listed on every pouch they send and if you have ANY problem at all, they WANT to hear from you and list their contacts right on the pouch. This is a company that clearly cares about the quality of what they sell.

Great product perfect quality
I have replaced sugar with this. This is the best sweetener out of other brands I've had. I wanted 0 carb and 0 sugar and this is it. I went back on my diet with this in my lipton tea and I'm losing around a pound a day. I stopped drinking crystal light sweet tea because every carb counts. I mix 3 tsp of this with 4 ounces of water till completely dissolved and then keep refrigerated sweet liquid so it doesn't spoil. Using a measured eyedropper I fill it to 3/4 teaspoon level with the made liquid sweetener and empty entire 3/4 teaspoon amount into 2 quarts of regular lipton iced tea and it's perfect for me. I love sweets. The liquid sweetener I made lasted more than a month now and I drink alot of tea. I had sweet solutions sucralose and it tasted more chemical than this brand. I started with aspartame by bulk supplements but it became unavailable. I like the taste of this brand alot. Maybe some day the local and big grocery stores will take equal and sweet and low sweeteners off the shelf and replace it with this stuff. All the other sweeteners will say no calories but still have too much carbs and some sugars. Since I don't see this in stores I will continue to buy it at amazon. I dont need sugar anymore. This goes farther in less amount because its been over a month and i still have quite a bit of sucrolose powder in the bag and still have the liquid sweetener i made with it. So way better price than pounds of sugar. I wouldn't mind seeing pounds of sugar off the shelf and see this instead. Keep up the quality and I'll be back again and again.

High quality pure sucralose
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was previously using a different popular brand on Amazon but there were quality issues. Found this brand and there are no such issues. It's a pure white finely milled powder. I would not recommend trying to use this the same way you'd use splenda. I mix this in a 10-20% ratio with distilled water to create liquid sweetener drops and store in glass dropper bottles. Works really well for that purpose and saves so much money and cuts down on waste vs the paper packets.

Super Low Carb Sweetener
This powder goes a long way. Only a small amount is needed. I like that it is pure sucralose and doesn’t contain other sweeteners that can affect my glucose levels.
