All-new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) – Our fastest Kindle ever, with new 7" glare-free display and weeks of battery life

The display is huge compared to my previous 8th gen basic, but it's also very sleek and lightweight. The look, features, and touch all combine to give a premium feel. It has 11 GB of free space. The adjustable warm light and dark mode are super cool. Worth every penny. Go for it.

Trust me! The screen looks more beautiful and gentler than what you might see on the images I have uploaded. I'd like to highlight some the important features of my kindle paperwhite in terms of it's usage.0. Very light weight and has matt back which feels very soft on touch.1. Best for reading epubs and azw3. You can sideload epubs and pdf via amazon's 'Send to Kindle' desktop app.2. Mangas look very nice in it. If you download it via amazon, there won't be any issues. But there isn't an option to set the contrast which might feel a bit underwhelming (review based on fire force vol 1 sample downloaded from kindle store) But if you are going to sideload it (i mean download the manga form elsewhere, you know where!) , you'll need to first convert it to epub format with kindle comic converter desktop app. Keep experimenting.3. The browser is very very basic. You can only use it for reading text heavy websites.4. If u study a lot using pdfs and epubs, then this has an edge over tablets when it comes to battery life and reducing eye strain (there's none!).5. This is extremely travel friendly gadget! Although i suggest you to get a flip cover for screen protection against rough usage.6. PDFs won't be as good as viewing on a tablet but still it's manageable. This kindle is faster so zoom in/out and scrolling is smoother than the previous one.7. You need to keep Airplane mode turned on most of the time if you want to prolong the battery backup, and only turn if off when you require to upload and sync books.8. You can buy a magnetic case cover which can wake up or sleep the screen when you open or close the cover simultaneously. This prevents the risk of the power button going faulty with repeated usage over the time. Although it makes the kindle slightly heavier to hold.9. Keep an eye out for Kindle colorsoft and Kindle scribe if your budget is more! But paperwhite for now is seal deal for me!

If you are hesitant to buy this because of the price, please do look out for sales (with card discount and sale price, it is about Rs. 12600)! You can also access a wide range of Kindle books through Prime Reading, which you can join at Rs. 299/ year (through the Prime Shopping Edition subscription).This purchase is a gift for my father, who is enjoying it very much. I own and enjoy a 7th generation Kindle, and can see that the 2024 version is certainly an improvement (bigger screen, smoother and crisper interface). It arrived on the same day of purchase, and the packaging was beautifully done. Made giving a gift, a pleasure!

The media could not be loaded. Brought it in prime day sale for 14k , really has helped me to get into reading and I have finished a book almost in a week, plus kindle store really helps you to get almost any book very easily, but there are 2 important cons you need to consider1. The battery life: it definitely is not 12 weeks as they have marketed. If you read for an hour everyday or maybe a little more it might last you 2 weeks with wifi turned on. If you turn off the wifi with airplane mode on maybe you can get it to 3 to 4 weeks, but don't expect the marketed battery life from it.2. Smudgefest: the device is really prone to smudges and marks no matter how clean your hands are, like if you touch it anywhere expect marks or smudges to be implanted on it. So if you are thinking of buying it , buy it with a case and use it with a case from the beginning

Good device but very expensive

The media could not be loaded. Got this on Prime day sale at Rs14k. I'm not a proper binge reader, rather a casual yet consistent reader who would like to atleast spend 10-30 mins a day reading in short slots as and whenever I get time. I hope I read more. And love how Kindle feels. Such diverse array of books right at my hand. Can't wait to learn!Update : The best investment I made ever. Just amazing. Feels good, handy, screen is super responsive, the feel while highlighting, swiping pages, checking meanings is just amazing. A premium product.

I am writing this review after using this product for 8 days-PROs-The device looks elegant and aesthetically beautiful.It offers distraction-free reading as there are no SMS, WhatsApp, emails, or other sources of notifications in it.Reading is smooth and better than the original paper.Thousands of books can be downloaded and can be read on the go.CONs-The screen is not responsive as it lags a lot, and sometimes you have to tap multiple times on the same point to make it move.If you read 2 hours a day, then the battery will not last more than 15 days.This device offers a good reading experience only if you buy books from Amazon; other formats like PDFs etc, are not device-friendly.Overall its a good investment if you are an avid reader.
