where do I put the catnip?

This toy can flap its wings and you can hang it on a cat teaser rod or wherever its convenient to hang as there is a buckle on the back of the bird. However it cannot fly by itself. Where is the catnip that is included with the toy supposed to go?

Good Question - I don't think that it goes inside the switch area (round plastic area) because it's quite small. We wound up putting the cat nip in a plastic back and then placed the ball inside to "soak" up the cat nip scent. Hope this helps.

Is this toy suppose to move around by itself?

It is a chirping toy and if you turn it on, once cats tap or touch it, it will chirp with different sounds and cats will be attracted.
